Have an issue with your insurance?
Let everyone know!
Insurance companies are constantly reviewing us. Are we too old? Do we live in the wrong place? Is our credit score high enough? Well, now it's time to turn the tables. Do you charge too much? Will you pay my claim quickly? Is your coverage worse than it seems? We can review you too.
Go Pet Plan - PetPlan canceled my policy WITHOUT notice
I have been a loyal PetPlan customer since 2010, at one point paying $2700 per year for our two dogs. When we adopted a 7-month old puppy in March 2021, there was no question we would cover her with PetPlan. Fast forward 3 months, the credit card we had on file with PetPlan was compromised so it was canceled by the credit card company, hence PetPlan was not able to process her monthly payment. Does PetPlan email me with this information, send me a letter, or otherwise try to reach me with this information? No. They claim they called our home number, but we have no record of that call nor did they leave a message. You'd think when you're about to cancel someone's INSURANCE policy for nonpayment, you would make a little bit more effort to reach them so they can fix the issue. No, not PetPlan. To make matters worse, when I called their customer service to reinstate this policy, all I got was the run around and then eventually ended up talking to a "supervisor" by the name of Don D who said it is NOT PetPlan's POLICY OR PROCESS TO EMAIL CUSTOMERS in situations like this. Because his response was so unbelievable and ridiculous (and possibly against insurance regulations??), I asked to speak to his supervisor - Don D indicated he will put in the request, yet to this day, no one has called. PetPlan, this experience has been beyond disappointing and for your sake, I hope Fetch can clean up your act. At this point, you leave me no choice but to take our business elsewhere.
Prudent Pet - Overpriced and does not reimburse
Overpriced and does not pay out. They do not fairly apply out of pocket payments to deductible, thus after almost $1500 out of pocket for illness issues, I still haven't "met" my $250 deductible. They do not supply appropriate policy documents so you cannot reference what is supposed to be covered per your quote as those documents disappeared and were replaced with non-specific generalized information which does not detail the plan you actually pay for. I had to take time away from my patient care schedule as a provider (I would be appalled for any of my patients insurance to act in this manner!) to take care of the issues.
Go Pet Plan - Do not recommend
Buyers beware, horrible claim experience, at the end of the day, a company can have the fanciest marketing and slickest app but it is how they handle claims that matters. My dog had an ear infection, they reviewed her record and in 2018, she saw the vet due to scratching and allergy was ruled out. But because it was mentioned in her record, they determined that ear infection was allergy related and all future allergy related incidents will not be covered. Worst yet, when I call to cancel the policy, they threaten that no other insurance would cover me because we had a claim. What a terrible company!
Pawp - They are a scam
My dog has been sick for over a week with vomiting and diarrhea daily. She has lost a good amount of weight in just a few days. The vet on pawp recommended withholding food and water 24 hours and if she didn't get better call them back. She didn't get better and I called and all they did was tell me to take her to a vet. No emergency because she wasn't going to die within 4 hours. Don't waste your money on this scam
Pawp - Very disappointed that I do not get…
Very disappointed that I do not get access to my emergency fund, waited a while for response on support. If you’re going to offer an emergency fund you should allow people to use it
Go Pet Plan - Most horrible company
Most horrible company. Charging 3 times in one month without notice. Will be canceling and taking my services elsewhere
Pumpkin - purchase held high hopes only to be dashed
The actual purchase of the 4 plans for my pet family was simple. It was more
Pawp - No vet will accept pawp
Reply from Pawp
Pawp - I thought every thing was okay until I…
I thought every thing was okay until I could not access the conversation. Being my first time using Pawp and just loosing Pancho I was already on our way to the vet when the doctor said “go to the vet”. Thinking this was an authorization to “go to the vet” I had already maxed out on care credit, scratch pay etc and all our other insurance with our ER visits with Pancho so this was a valid wait of 3 days with Gracie. Not my first pet. Anyway, now at 735pm I learned that I have pay.
Bivvy - Uncertain about definition of pre existing conditions.
I remain a little uneasy re what might get thrown back as a pre-existing condition for a 15 year old cat. She has not had to been seen by a vet in over a year.
