Have an issue with your insurance?
Let everyone know!
Insurance companies are constantly reviewing us. Are we too old? Do we live in the wrong place? Is our credit score high enough? Well, now it's time to turn the tables. Do you charge too much? Will you pay my claim quickly? Is your coverage worse than it seems? We can review you too.
Prudent Pet - WTH?
I have no idea how good or bad Prudent Pet is. I just signed up. Pressuring me to write a review of them won't change that fact.
Pawp - Undesirable terms change
Well, when I bought this insurance for my dog, I liked the terms. However, I hadn't even used it yet and suddenly the terms changed to some things I didn't like and with which I didn't agree! When I sent word to cancel and why, I wasn't even given a full refund! I feel as though I've been ripped off! I wouldn't recommend this insurance to ANYONE.

Go Pet Plan - Don't be a dodo.
Don't be a dodo. Find a better company. This is the 2nd time I've left this review because apparently the last one was removed. Since Dodos hostile takeover of petplan, this company is absolutely awful. Premiums go up $100's every year and all you'll get is a "you don't have to do anything! Coverage will continue as normal" email. If you call and get access to your plan policy, it will list things EXTREMELY CLEARLY that are covered..yet they will deny the claim. They utilize the same plans for every person who purchases that policy. Seems fine right? It's not. Vet laws change from state to state. I live in NY (hopefully you don't), and living here, vets have a very specific scope of practice. They treat. Just like you would see a doctor. If your pet needs behavior therapy or canine rehab, etc., you will need to see that specific certified specialist within this state. The way dodo writes their policies is that even though you have coverage for behavioral training or canine rehab therapy, THEY ARE ONLY COVERED IF PERFORMED BY A LICENSED VET. Vets must be separately certified through additional courses, therefore, legally, my vet is unable to provide behavioral therapy. It's literally the law. So unless you live in a tiny little town where there's 1 vet for 50 miles who got certified in everything, petplan will just deny your claim.
ManyPets - Manypets insurance "NEVER AGAIN!'
I purchased Manypets insurance over a year ago, I asked if my pets had to see a vet first. I was told "no" and I have the emails to prove it. My Chihuahua had blood work done, total kidney failure, had to put him down next day. I submitted claims, only to play email tag because they kept asking for stuff. My Chihuahua has never been ill till he passed, but Manypets got all the paperwork from the visits, proof of invoice payment, so they came back with " we need prior 18 months of history' there is no history, he got vaccinated at Petco, traveling veterinarian no office. They billed me for his insurance the month after he died, never got a refund but they will credit me towards my other dogs policy! I had no say. I called and cancelled this policy completely, they have only been around since 2017, originating in Sweden then UK now 29 states in the USA. I will never trust another pet insurance company again, save your money it will be cheaper than paying for insurance that finds ways not to pay and you still end up paying out of pocket.
Bivvy - Good bargain
Signing up multiple dogs doest work well on the site. I ended up with 3 policies for the same dog. Now I'm wondering what I was charged.
ManyPets - I reviewed several options on Forbes…
I reviewed several options on Forbes and choose you for coverage I desired.
Pawp - Denied reimbursement because I wanted to pay the rest of my vet bill by myself.
This is the worst company I’ve dealt with so far. This is what happened, I took my cat to the vet and the bill was over $2,000 and I didn’t have that on hand. I did have on hand $1,000 which I paid there. I couldn’t afford the rest so I took my cat home hoping to ask family for help on the rest of the $1,000. I was going to pay that out of pocket without sending a claim to Pawp about it because I read their terms that they pay once. I submitted my claim for the reimbursement on the 1,000 and got denied because I took my cat home on “AMA -against medical advice” which doesn’t state that anywhere on their terms. I read it over and over again. I took my cat to a cheaper vet with the diagnosis the emergency vet gave me which was a lot cheaper. Don’t use this company, if I could give 0 stars I would In a heartbeat.
Bivvy - Everyone was very friendly

Pawp - Steep decline in customer service in less than a year
When I first used Pawp last December 2021, they were amazing! Absolutely fantastic service, I felt cared for, and their staff went above and beyond to help take care of me during a time of crisis. In less than year, they have gone downhill horribly! You can't talk to anyone over the phone anymore, they don't even have live people over the webchat. Only contact info is one email address. When I submitted my claim via their online intake form, I never received any response. After multiple attempts, when I finally got in touch with someone via email, my claim was denied due to a fixable oversight. They claimed they sent me an email notifying me, but I never received one. And now it was "too late" for a claim to be accepted. The "support staff" I interacted with said they had no control over it since it was the claims processing team that dealt with claims and there was nothing they could do. What's the point of support staff if they can't even liaise on our behalf?! Their customer service went from 110% to "not our problem" in less than a year. Horribly, horribly disappointed. Also, when you try to cancel they ask for your reason, but then only allow you to answer with one of like 6 pre-made answers. None of which are "your customer service sucks." They aren't actually trying to fix their issues, just mask them.
