I’ve paid high insurance rates for 5 years. My claim had some expense to it. I’m getting $31 back. I’m not sure how it was figured, but sheesh! Really?

This insurance company is a scam. Me pup had a mass in her stomache removed. Last year in chart it said dog has black mass ( which was not a mass but spot). They would not pay bc she already had a Mass on her. It was never even removed. So it doesn’t matter now to bother bc any other “mass” she gets they won’t even pay for. Why bother having insurance??

I am very disappointed with your service. I have been a customer for 25 years. Yeas 25 years!!! I went to pay my invoice online on the last day it was due and I kept getting an error that the payment would not go through. Evidently you lock the system once your customer service is no longer available. I needed you at my most low time in my life as I just lost my brother to a tragic death. Paying my insurance was last thing on my mind. I called the next day only to find out that my policy has been cancelled and I would need to apply as a new customer when you clearly saw that I tried to pay it online - I sent an email and screenshot to customer service on the day it was due. Ian beside myself.
I complied to reapplying sent my medical records only to find out that I need for my dog to have an annual exam which is scheduled for April. I can not get to my vet beforehand as she is booked. He was due in January and I could not take him due to the passing of my brother. I hope you reconsider your actions. Thank you.
Trupanion - I have had this insurance for over 10…
I have had this insurance for over 10 years. Their share cost has skyrocketed out of control and is totally outrageous. There is no proof of their so called “other claims in the area” for their shared cost that they say they determine your premium by. You pay for everyone else’s claims even if you yourself never file a single claim. Nothing in writing to back up their shared cost claims. I have filed claims in past years but they deny, and then pay nothing. Trupanion has become a greedy scam rip off company. Trupanion shame on you!!!
Spot - They completed my claims without…
They completed my claims without waiting for everything they needed to actually reimburse me. So I called them and they said they needed the medical records. I called the vets and they stated their offices had sent all of the records the day before and the morning of my call. I wrote to Spot and told them that and they stated "We do not leave claims open indefinitely, and if we reach out to the clinic and the records are not received, the claim is closed."
To which I said: "It was not open indefinitely. You literally gave them 4 days and the vets had sent them within that time frame.."
So I just wasn't thrilled with their customer reps on the phone and there was a delay in my reimbursement because they incorrectly completed the claim.
Edit: they replied that they’re never happy to deny a claim. But let me be clear- they didn’t deny the claim. They just processed it without actually waiting for the medical records that they needed to approve the claim.
MetLife - Read everything VERY VERY closely before signing
My animals are very important. The first time I ever got insurance was through MetLife because I trusted the name. I made it abundantly clear the coverage I wanted. I made the mistake of trusting the MetLife agent to give me what I needed. I ended up with a policy that only covered $2000 which is nothing. If I knew that was the limit of the coverage, I never would have taken the policy because it was definitely not what I asked for. After my dog passed, I was advised I had a death benefit. So, I put the claim in, only to find out it got denied because I reached my $2000 limit, of which they only pay 90% so the actually limit is $1800. My premiums were more than that. Horrible coverage and will never go back.

This company is a joke. If you want to really get a reliable pet insurance, get it from another company. This insurance did nothing for me or my pets! Their fineprint is really a scam! Yearly shots are considered wellness add on! Beware!

Spot - Purchased Spot DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Purchased, 5 years and 7onths of medical records. Claim was denied because my cat take gabbapentin when she goes to vet(gets scared) they denied due to her being perscribed this, for a rodent ulcer. Which has nothing to do w it. Theu also sent me an email statting that my insurance was rwady to process claims, then said i still had a 8 wk period to wait.
