Pets Best - Don't Buy This Insurance - it's a SCAM
They have no customer service you can constantly try to get in touch with somebody and they will be totally unresponsive the only time you ever get contacted from them is when they let you know that they are denying your claim this insurance is not only expensive it does not actually apply to anything outside of basically a death emergency
Would not recommend and would advise looking into other companies they can't be any worse than this one what a giant joke of a company take your money and run oh wait they already took my money
Healthy Paws - My Healthy Paws premium jumped from…
My Healthy Paws premium jumped from $113/month with a $100 deductible and 90% coverage to $260/month with a $1,000 deductible and only 60% coverage. I’ve been with them for 10 years—since my dog was a puppy—and this feels like a gut punch. A 150% increase in one month is outrageous and borderline unethical. I’ll be sharing this experience across every platform available.
Nationwide - NEVER USE NATIONWIDE
DO NOT EVER USE NATIONWIDE FOR ANYTHING ESPECIALLY PET INSURANCE!!! Garret has pet insurance with them through his job and we just got notice that they are canceling the policy for our dog and cat on December 1st due to "rising cost" and "inflation". I will never use them again and never ever recommend them to anyone and I urge anyone that has them to switch.
Spot - No Coverage, Money Stealing
Spot insurance does a fantastic job when it comes to hanging up over the phone. If your pet has any chronic disease or god forbid they get the same disease twice like periodontal disease. Know that it will not be covered, any cash you pay for a disease that happens more than once, even if it is a year apart, will not be covered. Also know that their service line does not help customers, they love to hang up if they feel that you are frustrated. Obviously when you get hung up on it makes a person feel way more frustrated. Go figure
Pets Best - TOO LONG WAIT FOR REIMBURSEMENT
I have been using Pets Best for 7 years and have always been pleased with them until my recent claim. The communication in how my claim was going was processing was unsatisfactory. The time the claim took to be paid was unsatisfactory. The time it took their claims department to request medical records was unsatisfactory. However, I was eventually reimbursed.
Trupanion - When I went to sign up for a policy
When I went to sign up for a policy, they had my old address in my file as I had moved since then. I used the chat function and spoke to an employee and gave them the information for the update and they walked me through creating a new insurance profile based on what i needed. I was given the quote and accepted the policy.
Fast forward to today when I made my payment I noticed my address hadn't been updated so I used the chat to have them to do. During the process they informed me that my policy would more than double in cost each month because of the new address. The same address I gave them in August when I said my old address was wrong and requested a quote for insurance in my new location.
Would not trust or do business with this company.
Fetch - BUYER BEWARE - FETCH charges even after cancelation
BUYER BEWARE
My premium increased from $32 per month to $127 per month in a matter of just a few years. My dog is very healthy, and I’ve never had to place a claim. Tried to cancel the coverage, but the phone lines are always busy, so I canceled my card. I received an email from Fetch confirming that my coverage was canceled, but Fetch charged me anyway two weeks later - two months’ worth of premium - that’s over $250!!! I called but Fetch will not refund.
Pumpkin - Overall good
Overall good. But very disappointed on I’m guessing a new change since I signed up since I called in & asked questions on different care options & now apparently things are not covered.

Pets Plus Us - They misguided me and avoid paying
My dog was involved in a major car accident, and 4 months after she jumped from the couch and hurt her ligament, but they declined my claim because they said this issue is a degenerative disease. I called them up, the advisor told me to file for a reassessment, I did it, and they said we need more documents to show it was from a major accident. I told them it's okay to provide after 180 days. She said yes since you opened up the reassessment in that window, and we need more documents. I gathered all the documents to provide them; it took me about 8 months. They said OOO, it's 180 days after, and we can't do a reassessment. BULLSHIITTT
