Submitted a claim for the first time and very unhappy on their response to it so far. Refereed to my family member as "xpetx" in their auto fill spot. Tried to log into my account to dispute and got "The service is unavailable". Tried to call but they do not have access to anyone on weekend. See what happens next week.. hopefully can login/speak to someone.

The worst . Very disappointed. They take the premium by never pay out .

I thought after I paid $500 out-of-pocket, especially for ear infections which has been an issue for her then it would be a 90% pay off after that I guess I was wrong please explain

I signed up for Trupanion’s free 30-day trial after receiving multiple reminders, thinking it couldn’t hurt to try. Pros: No credit or debit card is required to sign up for and use the 30-day trial. Cons: The policy doesn’t cover anything until you meet a deductible. Submitting receipts from the vet to Trupanion only results in an email confirming that the amount was applied toward your deductible, with no actual reimbursement. Overall, I found this frustrating and not worth the time. Rather than paying into this “insurance,” I recommend putting that money into a dedicated savings account for your pet. When they need care, you can pay directly and avoid the hassle of dealing with an insurance policy that doesn’t provide immediate coverage.

I am writing this review to warn other pet owners. We purchased a top-tier, unlimited-benefit plan from Pets Best, believing we were doing the responsible thing for our dog. When she needed a necessary $6,500 surgery, our claim was denied. The denial was based on a "pre-existing condition" from a minor, completely resolved skin issue that occurred in another country over two years (29 months) before our policy even started. We appealed, providing clear evidence that the two issues were unrelated. Most importantly, we submitted a formal letter from our board-certified veterinary surgeon who explicitly stated that the conditions were "clinically distinct" and that the new problem was triggered by environmental factors after our policy was in effect. Pets Best ignored the specialist's expert medical opinion and upheld their denial through two separate appeals. If you are looking for an insurance company that will stand by you, look elsewhere. Pets Best has shown that they will use any loophole in their policy to deny a legitimate claim, even when faced with overwhelming medical evidence to the contrary. They do not operate in good faith. We have since canceled our policy and strongly advise other pet owners to avoid this company.

I’ve been with this company for almost 14 years. Over that period The rates have gone up grammatically. The few times that I really needed this company to be there for me They failed miserable. They have more loopholes for not paying out and you could imagine and when they do pay out, it’s a small fraction. You will be so much better off putting half of the money in a bank over the years that you would payed them. And you will have more than enough to cover any emergency. They also drop you at 14 years. They make millions of this scam.
