The claim for Belle's surgery was paid out in less then a week. It is easy to upload the bills and paperwork.

I bought a policy the day I adopted my pup back in 2019. Since he has had a couple of major medical issues. Healthy Paws has been great about paying claims. I typically have a refund in my account 1-2 days after submitting a claim.

Thank you for asking about Buddy. We had a very positive experience at UCDavis Oncology Clinic. Initially we went to get a second opinion, and a series of tests were done and sadly, resulted in finding a small mass on his heart. We will be returning for another visit at the end of the month and Buddy will be seen by a veterinary cardiologist. Our hope is that there is a treatment for him.

Don't be deceived by the tons of fake "invited" reviews the company is producing in order to counter the very real and legitimate continuing trend of negative reviews. Healthy Paws has completely gone down the toilet and is utter garbage now.

Healthy Paws had a quick review and reimbursement payment of claims after my dog went to the emergency animal hospital for advanced pneumonia for several days that resulted in a very expensive stay. I was able to pay for services before charges hit the credit card. There was enough stress as to whether she was going to make it to not have to worry about costs of medical bills to keep her alive and then recover. My dog is doing very well now. Healthy Paws even checked in with me after my dog returned from the hospital to see how she was doing afterwards. They I would highly recommend this pet insurance to anybody as it was also reasonably priced and was worth it for peace of mind and return on investment for a beloved pet and they actually cared as did not have to reach out afterwards. My dog has been covered with nation wide for 8 years. They got rid of a lot of pet plans currently and this last year. If your dog has preexisting conditions before they are 9 years old, you are screwed if you have nation wide. If you want your dog be covered for a life time do not go with Nation wide. Now, I have my dog's preexisting conditions that will never be covered because of Nation wide kicking us out of their plan. Nationwide will betray you when the dog gets old.

I have been a client for over 18 years with multiple dogs. Today I found out that because I paid for one of my dogs policies in full, her policy actually lapsed and she didn’t have coverage for the last month. With my other dogs, their policies automatically renewed. The policy could not be reinstated and actually had to create a new policy. I am very upset by this. With that said my dog now does not have coverage and will not for at least two weeks. In addition, I submitted a bill for $191 that could’ve went to my deductible for the year, and now that doesn’t count.
