Hello everybody! Thank you so much for all the important information in advance. My personal car was at the shop and I needed to rent a car. I did — from Turo. I purchased a minimum coverage from Turo (my deductible was $3000). Was in traffic going around 15-20mph and the car in front of me slammed their brakes. In order for me to prevent the collision, I swirled to change the lane to the right, hitting their back right corner, and wiped my car through the curbside. They had a scratch and one side of rear bumper got unhooked. The car I was driving had the headlight destroyed, front bumper fully came off, and the driver‘s door stuck. The other party filed a claim with my car insurance. My car insurance does not cover rental. I’m so genuinely confused because my insurance is telling me to figure it all out as they have a balance of $4000 that I am required to pay. And I’m wondering if the other party was supposed to file the claim with Turo? Is my car insurance supposed to be invo

Location: Georgia I rented a car in canada, but am a US citizen living in Georgia. The rental company (Turo) is claiming damage that I did not cause and wants me to pay. They say if I do not pay they will “send it to collections”. The company does also exist in the US, but since the rental was in canada, do they have any ability to try and collect from me?
