I neither like nor dislike since I purchased and the insurance hasn't even taken effect. I'll rate once I try to use it.

Misleading information led me to choose Pumpkin. 100% do not recommend this pet insurance company.

Consistently deny my claims for the SAME INCORRECT reason and never get back to me on follow-up.

HORRIBLE..HORRIBLE...HORRIBLE!!! TOTALLY MISLEADING!!!!

I purchased pet insurance with Pumpkin on 2/16/2023. I had an issue where my dog would not eat on 3/2/2022 and took her to the ER. I filed a claim with pumpkin and they denied it. Their reason stated was for a pre-existing condition. How not eating is a pre-existing condition blew my mind. They also said they needed vaccination records for 12/2022 when she was vaccinated on 11/2022. All they did was try to find a reason to deny my claim. I wouldn’t recommend anyone purchase pet insurance at Pumpkin. Will they use this situation to call everything a pre-existing condition now.

If I could give zero stars, I would. In January of 2022, I got Pumpkin for my 2 dogs. Their vet had emailed saying they were finally opening spots back up after the Covid wave of appointments had shut down their availability. I made a check up appointment for a month away, and then got pumpkin as they claimed they'd cover cancer if it was 180 days symptom free and cleared by an oncologist as having not metastasized. There were no signs anything was wrong with either of them, but since one was 14 years old, I wanted to be safe. Boy, was I wrong.

When I signed up for Pumpkin, I told representative that I didn't have my dog's health records & was told "that's okay." With very few exceptions, all claims denied since I didn't have records!

The policy did not cover what I thought was not a preexisting pisition. I am going to cancel the policy.

I shopped around and found Pumpkins Ins to be more reasonable in their services and pricing. Even though their fairly new I decided to go with them. They were very helpful in assisting me. I gave them 3 stars because I haven’t had to use their coverage. I will post again when I do.
