Dutch Pet Insurance - Dr. Gonzonlos is great. His non-medical staff should be fired.
Dr. Gonzalos is a 5+. Your non-medical staff sucks, can't even figure out how to change a schedule or how to recognize that a prescription can't be filled. Oh, and your inputs about things such as "how to write a useful review" were excrement.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Seeing a vet is fast but go elsewhere for meds
Being able to get a vet visit, diagnosis and treatment plan is fast and easy. Getting the meds is a completely different story. The cost and price match is true to what they advertise, but the time to get them (and that’s if your order isn’t cancelled for no apparent reason) takes too long. Pay the fees and have it transferred local or to Chewy etc.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Won't treat what they say they treat
We signed up today for a 1 year plan for $92. It is advertised that they treat urinary health for cats. Well our cat has a UTI and we were told they can do nothing and we have to go and make a vet appointment. So now we are out $92 for NOTHING. Do not sign up for this service.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Sign up for month FIRST!
Just signed up for membership and I should have done the month first. I’m in Arizona and they can’t give me a prescription without a currant vet visit first. So $92. to tell me I have to see a vet in town. You won’t know this until you sign up, do the month to start! The vet I did talk to was very nice and was able to give me a month worth of Apoquel and good advice. I was able to talk with a vet within the hour, she was knowledgeable and sympathetic with having to tell me about the visit with vet in town. It was $100 lesson. They do a good job, but only sign up for the month first!
Dutch Pet Insurance - Awful experience
Awful experience. Set up first meeting with a vet for 6pm. They sent several messages making sure I show up on time or will be charged a fee. I got on the zoom at 5:55pm and waiting with no response for the appointment to start. Just me in the zoom waiting for the host to start for 20 minutes before I gave up. Messaging the vet was met with the same no response. This is a scam! They got the annual fee and then are not providing the services. Avoid if you really want to talk with a vet. They just want the fees and then blow you off.
Dutch Pet Insurance - I signed up for the $92 annual service…
I signed up for the $92 annual service and attempted to initiate a visit. Twice now I've received a message that there is no vet available at this time. I strongly suspect that this service might be utilizing local vets in the area for this service. That means that the service will be just as bad as any other attempt at services. In our area, we have a major shortage of vets and getting an appointment for any reason within a month is next to impossible. It forces everything into emergency services at a VERY large fee. Since I attempted my visit requests during business hours, I believe that is why I got the message that no one is available. I couldn't even schedule a visit for later in the day when someone is available. I can't say that my experience has been nice at all. So I canceled the service renewal almost as fast as I got the message that no one is available. Just $92 down the drain.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Scam
Stay away from this company big mistake signing up, scam
Dutch Pet Insurance - Still waiting for the transfer of my…
Still waiting for the transfer of my medication. I processed it twice online. I finally saw the charge to my card for the five dollar transfer fee but I’m still waiting for the medication and I’m frustrated because my animal is not well.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Company Puts Profit above animal suffering - Example included
I had to delete part of the end of my review to submit an update. The one star review is confirmed I spoke with them several times and they did nothing to change. As a state (California) I have been organizing as many people as possible to ban them from providing veterinary care. They do not care about animals. Update to review Dutch.com stands by their practices of delaying necessary medication and not providing timely prescriptions. They refunded me the membership fee and I reported them to the Department of Agriculture in California to investigate them for animal cruelty. Their response to me was not kind, remorseful, helpful and was just a bunch of "fine print" about their processes. There was no explanation as to way making an animal wait for necessary medication is needed. If I were you and you were using them and need meds right away, book another appointment with a doctor and tell him or her the purpose of this visit is for you to hang up the phone and call my prescription into Costco have the number ready and remind them that they took an oath and if they do not comply they will be reported to the Board of Veterinary Medicine for animal cruelty. And they will listen because every state has a Board and none of them allow for them to prioritize profits for Dutch.com over the importance of timely care. Review: Recently California (1/1/24) revised the law and allows Telehealth for animals including prescribing medications. This is excellent news. We care for our animals like family, there is a shortage of Vets in certain parts of the state more than others - this is progress. However, it is one step forward one giant step backwards with Dutch. On the eve of July 3rd I was told by my doggy day care that my puppy had "puppy warts" or pappalivirus and he was quarantined and cannot return until he comes back. My vet, an animal "hospital" though closed early for the day and was closed for the holiday all the way through the hospital. As an aside, no hospital should be called such that closes for 4 days. I thought, I have options and used Dutch. I was prepared of course for it to be harder than it looks as one cannot just sign up for a one time visit one must become a member. Fine. I paid the membership fee and booked a visit for 910 am on the 4th. For some reason they tell you to plan for 30 minutes. You get 10 minutes if you're lucky. The vet joined 2 minutes late and ended 2 minutes early, was not friendly, engaging, empathetic or even interested. Instead I got a prescription for anti-inflammatory which I told her in the call I needed transferred to Costco. She said nothing in response. Costco was closed the 4th so I sent several messages through the chat system with the phone number of the Costco and planned to pick up on the 5th. When I go to check on the status I don't even see my message recorded. I call the phone number. No one answers. I leave more messages nothing. I notice a box on the website
Dutch Pet Insurance - I received order of cans of Purina Pro…
I received order of cans of Purina Pro Plan that made my dog sick and when I reached out to the Dutch team they didn’t care. I’m very disappointed in Dutch as I always speak so highly of them and can’t believe my experience now
