Not happy that I had to call to discuss cancelation and then my last claim was re-reviewed and just like that I get paid for services that were "missed". If I can't trust the review process to find reimbursable procedures then why do I have this insurance?

Denied all claims ranging from eye infection to stomach blockage, we were "insured" with embrace and still had to pay over $5000 in vet costs. Paid over a $1000 on premiums for basic coverage on our two cats from our local shelter. They were 10months old and had medical documentation from before. All was submitted. Ripoff company, they dont care about your animals. Edit- since posting they have now processed my over year old claims with less than a 50% reimbursement. You need to fight them to do half their job i guess.

Cancelled after a few months when my very first claim was denied because my otherwise healthy dog hadn’t needed to go to vet in a specific time period before the claim so they thought this could be pre-existing. It was a dog bite. Seriously. Can’t make this stuff up. Edited to add after seeing reaponse: I was told that none of the claim was covered. I knew the ear infection wouldn’t be.

Difficult website to prepare and submit claims

When signing up, I promptly submitted all medical history documentation. I wanted to make sure I know all pre-existing conditions. They kept delaying reviewing the documents while having no problem taking my money for premiums. At some point, it got ridiculous and I canceled. What a waste of time and money!

This October, I submitted a claim about hoarse voice for my cat. They refused my claim and stated my cat had eye discharge last November according to the medical history so they extended the preexisting condition window of upper respiratory infection. That completely makes no sense! Because last year when we took our cat to the vet and mentioned he has some eye discharge. And the vet explained to us he was newly adopted, and there might be many possible reasons for that such as new environment or new food, no need to treat and the cat was in good condition. However, the claim adjuster made the decision only because of the eye discharge. A lot of diseases can lead to eye discharge. Will they attribute the symptom to all those diseases? Then they replied if we wanted to submit an appeal they need a statement from the vet to provide the evidence that eye discharge was not related to URI. WHAT?!!! They don't have any logic and asked us and vet to spend more time to prove ourselves. BTW, the price increased a lot for a new year

Embrace Pet Insurance will use ANY and ALL reasons to deny claims determining that your pet conveniently has a “pre-existing condition”. I submitted my first ever claim for a dental cleaning for my dog and my claim was denied because the Veterinarian had noted in a previous annual visit that my dog had some tarter buildup, which is extremely common in dogs and cats. But it was enough for Embrace to designate it as a pre-existing condition and deny my claims. Please AVOID using this company to insure your pet. They are a massive rip-off and you will end up paying out of pocket for any procedures.

This was my very first claim for Clark Gable so I understand that it took a rather lengthy time to process. I received an email more than 10 days ago explaining the amount of money I would be receiving . I’m still waiting for the the check to arrive so I cannot give an honest opinion of your service yet!

This company should be investigated for scamming its customers out of millions of dollars all because it is their ultimate decision to decide whether something is covered or not because they choose to I am tired of being ripped off by this scam company I would not recommend this company to anybody when I asked for a simple documentation of what was covered they gave me some bullshit that I could not even comprehend and I am well educated so my simple thing to this company is they can go f themselves and should be investigated immediately.

Our cairn terrier accidentally swallowed a piece of plastic. She was taken to an emergency vet to induce vomiting. She is fine now. That was on November 4th. Embrace held up the claim for what they said was to check for pre existing conditions. Lame excuse because this was an emergency condition. Swallowing a piece of plastic by accident is not a daily occurrence. The representative i spoke to was not too kind about this. After giving Embrace one star in a previous review, they settled within two hours. I just hope I don't have to go through this every time.
