Embrace - Did I make a mistake
So far since I made the switch to Embrace I haven’t been impressed. The first time I submitted a claim I was getting emailed to explain the issue and my vet had to explain and send in history. My other insurances never was this hard to make a claim. My pay was usually deposited in 72hours. I’m now starting to wonder if I made a mistake by switching.
Embrace - Refused reimbursement
This insurance company is a scam. My pet was scheduled for a dental cleaning. However, the vet discovered he had severe gingivitis when prepping him for the cleaning and he needed 16 teeth pulled. Filed a claim with Embrace and it was our first claim ever with this company ever since we insured the pet 4 years ago. Every year the policy price keeps climbing, but they outright denied our 2k dental bill because they blamed the vet for only coded the bill as “wellness”. I asked customer service on the phone why the claim was denied, and Cassie told me I should go blame my vet because they refused to break down the bill on how much of it was dental cleaning. I asked Cassie how much cleaning does she think my pet needed done when he had 16 teeth pulled. And she kept telling me there is nothing they can do and to call the vet. Do not recommend.
Embrace - If you’re going to require a call in…
If you’re going to require a call in order to cancel a policy; something that can be easily accomplished through a button in the app, you should be willing to staff your call center. Customer service has been ridiculously bad and the coverage is not good for what they charge.
Embrace - Embrace Pet Insurance and Wellness Plan…
Embrace Pet Insurance and Wellness Plan keeps all the paperwork until after I agree to possibly staying with Embrace and then I still don't have all the paperwork but Embrace may keep it for themselves and Animal Clinic Spokane is difficult to do business with because they don't do all the billing and provide details to me of the exam and only tell me verbally and not in writing so this is antagonizing and I believe both sides only want my money and focus on scary me with estimate pricing etc. I liked how Banfield Pet Hospital did business for the most part because they have their own wellness plan under a particular name of their wellness plan and they do the billing but they are with the LGBTQ plus etc community and hated me and my cat so I left Banfield Pet Hospital hoping to find similar but straight and professional veterinarian office employees but I haven't been able to find a veterinarian office employees etc that provide and own a pet insurance company and wellness plan company and charge an affordable non antagonizing cat insurance and wellness plan for my cat and they on both sides demand I just follow along and they both Embrace and Animal Clinic Spokane are not what I expected and there does not seem to be any good cat insurance companies or veterinarian offices so I feel uncomfortable and stuck hoping to find a non antagonizing cat insurance company and wellness plan and veterinarian office doctors etc that don't want to terrorize me and charge high prices and be dishonest and corrupt. I feel sad and taken advantage of.
Embrace - Horrible
Horrible. Would not cover a single penny of the expenses for my dog's cancer treatments for the most ridiculous reasons. Stay clear of this place!
Embrace - Submitted a claim for the first time…
Submitted a claim for the first time and very unhappy on their response to it so far. Refereed to my family member as "xpetx" in their auto fill spot. Tried to log into my account to dispute and got "The service is unavailable". Tried to call but they do not have access to anyone on weekend. See what happens next week.. hopefully can login/speak to someone.
Embrace - The worst
The worst . Very disappointed. They take the premium by never pay out .
Embrace - INTENTIONAL FRAUDULENT REVIEW OF CLAIM
They used the fact that the vet did not see a foreign object in his paw, despite the fact there was a very large wound, it was infected, and they needed to clean it out and prescribe antibiotics, as an excuse to deny the claim. They said since nothing conclusive was found, they could not cover the claim. When I pointed out that the vet said it could have been a foreign object, the claims adjuster had no reponse other than to say the vet did not find anything conclusive. I asked what else could have caused a large wound and needed the care that it did. Again no response. I am filing a claim with the insurance commissioner against them. I would love to be able to file a lawsuit against the adjuster personally for fraud, but I'm not sure it is worth the trouble. I might do so just to prove a point. Horrible company.
Embrace - Cancelled Policy due to cost
I have been an Embrace customer for roughly 8 years. I counted myself a very satisfied client up until recently.
About 4ish months ago added in my puppy, Milo. I had filed a claim for Milo because said dorky puppy ate a mushroom and got pretty sick. Long story short, emails were exchanged, the point of the emails were unclear until I called in and a very patient individual spoke to me in non-insurance speak and explained the issue.
However, in my frustration prior to the call I went shopping for new insurance. After checking with a very large online dog community of dedicated sport dog enthusiasts I opted to investigate a couple of alternate insurance companies. Much to my surprise, I discovered I could get insurance with a higher reimbursement rate, no annual limit, a slightly higher deductible, and added in some routine care (spay, vaccination, etc) for less. Much less. I can cover all 3 dogs, ages 7, 2, and under 1 year, for about $40 less a month. In these rough economic times, customer loyalty is out the window. I'll take the extra $480/year in my pocket.
Embrace - they have been great right up until…
they have been great right up until they doubled my premium on my 9 year old domestic medium hair cat. They say it's based on actuarial statistics and promise it's not because of any claims, but it just so happened to take place immediately at renewal after a year of claims due to hypothyroidism. regardless, to DOUBLE the monthly premium is absolutely unacceptable.
