Embrace - They almost never paid out
They almost never paid out. They always twisted the veterinary information to avoid paying. Eventually, after paying for several years, I was paying $200 a month for two dogs and I thought I might as well put that money in a savings account in case of a catastrophe.
Embrace - Slow to resolve claims
I proactively collected all my dogs claims and submitted them directly to Embrace. They tell me they received them but my claim status is still "pending medical records" Representatives tell me its just going to be a couple days. It's been over a week. Very disappointed.
Embrace - Jan the agent
Jan, your agent, was very slow, hard to understand, and kept asking me to repeat myself. She had no logical way to explain my premium increase, although I've not had any claims paid out.
Also, the credit card update was very tedious and took much longer than with other companies.
Embrace - Embrace Pet is a money grubbing🤑ripoff!
Embrace Pet is a VERY🚫 BAD choice if you are looking for reputable and reliable pet insurance. My mixed terrier's coverage almost doubled (from $48 to $85@month without notification or a reason for the big increase 🤑I've never filed a claim for
my pet over the 2+years that we had a policy with Embrace Pet. They're just another BIG RIPOFF!
Embrace - Unfair pre-existing condition policy
I rescued my senior pup so when I applied I get Embrace all of his vet records from the prior 9 years. They saw that in the past my pup had ear infections so they declared this a pre-existing condition. What is terribly unfair about this is that I’m now addressing his ear infections- they were not addressed prior to me rescuing him- and despite the fact that I’m being a great pet owner, Embrace will not pay any claims that say anything about his ears, allergies, etc. Allergies were not a pre-existing condition however they have decided to lump them together. Any reason not to pay a claim.
Embrace - Important peculiarity.
If you consider to deal with Embrace, keep in mind my more than 3 years experience with the company:
1) all your wellness claims like vaccination, grooming, etc. (hundred(s) dollars) will be paid very quickly and in full;
2) all your substantial claims related with an illness, trauma, etc. (thousands dollars) will be declined with references to pe-existing conditions which formulated very creatively.
Embrace - Extremely Disappointed
I was extremely disappointed that Embrace did not cover my cat, Leo's, emergency room visit this past December. Embrace claimed it was a pre-existing condition. Leo had impacted feces and was treated with a laxative - it was a much different ailment than he had earlier - one and half years ago! Previously, "formed feces not present." Gastroenteritis is an umbrella term covering many types of stomach/colon/bowel distress.
Embrace - Not getting what we pay for anymore
We've been using Embrace for years and what used to be top tier service has significantly degraded. The website has issues, the call service is always overloaded, and I feel like they're more willing to fight us on coverage. This is one of (if not the) most expensive pet insurances out there and I once justified it by everything it offers but that seems to be changing.
Embrace - Dropped us and wouldn't reinstate…
Dropped us and wouldn't reinstate because of age of dogs and living in California. Spoke with managers, non-negotiable despite having this insurance for 2 dogs for years and had never submitted a single claim. So don't even bother with this company.
Embrace - I haven been trying to sign into my…
I haven been trying to sign into my account to see what I purchased but they do not answer the phone. They have instructions what to do if unable to sign in but it does not work. I did get someone once and he said he will send me a fake sign in word and then change it to my one. The problem his “Embrase123” would not open up the sign and says Rejected. I tried hiding it over and over but the site is messed up. Called over the last 3 days and called today and of course a woman announces that they are closed on MLK holiday and hung up. They are a lot of competitive pet insurances around running for the same cost and I am sure they will be happy to talk to. I not seen nothing from Embrace to make me feel like it is the special place for my Gracie.
