Embrace - Waste of money
Waste of money. Didn’t accept a single claim I sent in for either of my cats (over a dozen claims). Spent about $300 for nothing. The two stars is for customer service, which was a positive experience.
Embrace - GOOD and BAD
I have been with Embrace for eight years now.
I've had some mixed feelings but have found that the claim process has been easy, the policy has been outlined and reasonably explained. However, the issues I have are in the area of what is and is not covered and the increases.
There are things that are not just black and white and I feel a few of my claims were warranted but declined. The response time to the submissions are excellent although not always in agreement with what I feel should be covered. In addition to that, the annual increases have been in sudden significant jumps.
Last year my policy went up over 25%. This year, I believe it's going up again. This has made me reconsider renewing my policy.
Embrace - I initially signed up for Embrace Pet…
I initially signed up for Embrace Pet Insurance, starting with a monthly of $37, which later increased to an astonishing $178 per month. I wanted peace of mind, knowing that my dog would be covered in case of a serious illness. Unfortunately, when the time came to file a claim, Embrace denied it, citing a “pre-existing condition.” My dog was healthy at the time I purchased the policy, which my veterinarian can confirm, yet Embrace insists that her later-diagnosed tumors are connected to a condition supposedly present before coverage, without providing any concrete evidence.
Based on numerous previous reviews, it seems I’m not alone in this experience. Embrace appears to use the same “pre-existing condition” reasoning to deny many claims, raising serious concerns about the fairness and transparency of their insurance practices.
My dog is no longer with us, yet I still have to deal with this, and it deeply upsets me.
Embrace, please don’t waste time responding to this review if it’s only to add yet another standard paragraph about my pet’s “pre-existing condition.” The pattern is clear.
Embrace - Broken claims system online
Ashley was very hekpful and sent me the information to submit my clain manually, but the claim forms will not open (get and OOPS from Embrace online) and I still cannot add a pet to my current claim online - please have your tech folks look into that!
Embrace - Profoundly dissappointed with the…
Profoundly dissappointed with the claims I have filed now over 2 months ago. Learned that Embrace was needing clarification from my Vet. I called Smiths Vetinary Hospital in Santa Fe, which is a reputable and well know long time vetinary. I let them know that Embrace had sent requests to them and they had not responded. While I was on the phone with Smiths, they emailed my felines entire medical records 3 weeks ago. USAA should reconsider who they recommend. I regret having dropped Nationwide Pet Insurance.
Embrace - Baseless Declines
Absolutely horrible company, claiming vomiting and diarrhea are pre-existing conditions regardless of the reason and any future claims for the next 12 months will be denied if they involve vomiting and diarrhea. Language from Embrace included: "A pre-existing condition can be a clinical sign of an actual diagnosed condition; however, we do not need an actual diagnosis for a clinical sign in order for it to be pre-existing." What? Clearly stating they do not need an actual diagnosis to deny a claim.
Vomiting and diarrhea are symptoms, not pre-existing conditions, and can be caused by any number of diseases, incidents, etc. To arbitrarily deny any future claims regardless of the reason is absurd. This company has earned its reputation for baseless declines and I strongly recommend finding another insurer.
In addition, very poor customer service with adjusters that have no direct lines...it's impossible to get in touch with anyone, let alone the same person.
Embrace - Claims and call backs…
I put in a claim they denied it saying it was precisiting as of 11/22/24 and guess what?, that was the 1st vet visit for my cat since becoming a member and it was after the allotted grave period by 2 days so I cammed them and the rep said I would have to talk to someone in billing and he transferd me then I left a voicemail and here it is several days later and still no call back yet they didn't hold back taking the 2 cats monthly fee this morning. So I will probably be canceling membership in 30 days before another payment is ran for either of my cats.
Embrace - It takes very long to see your money…
It takes very long to see your money deposited in your account. You must keep an eye that what gets approve gets deposited and they also make it difficult to cross reference the deposit since they dont give you initial claim and cover claim information in your deposit ( intentionally) i wish there was more transparency to recommend to others. The higher ups are aware but EE are not too aware this is done intentionally in my opinion.
Embrace - I have been an Embrace pet insurance…
I have been an Embrace pet insurance client for at least 8 years or more and never filed a claim. Just got my new renewal and they almost doubled it. I cancelled it and took 5 thousand out of savings and put it in a savings revocable trust for medical care for my cat. I'll be my own insurance company.
Insurance companies need to be regulated - they have gotten way out of hand.
Embrace - Every attempt to upload my invoices…
Every attempt to upload my invoices went wrong. The site would not allow any uploads continually messaged to email the invoices. I wonder if they want them under seperate cover for each
