Embrace - This was the first time I’ve used pet insurance
This was the first time I’ve had pet insurance and made a claim. I listed every vet my dog had ever been to as requested. In processing my claim they requested records from all, which I certainly understand. However the various vet offices were apparently slow or not responding so I had to contact them for compliance. This went on for several months. When I called Embrace they confirmed just waiting on one vet, needed a diagnosis code.
My little dog is going on 10 years, our vet pretty sure has Cushings disease. For me, the $50 plus per month for insurance just doesn’t seem worth it anymore. I’ll put in a savings account for her instead. I had a $500 deductible and the insurance company did eventually pay my claim over that amount. The company seems ok, just more of a hassle than I expected.

Embrace - Horrible service
Horrible service, would not recommend. They are in it for the money and nog for your pets wellbeing or the customer. I have been a member since 2016 and had revised online because they kept raising their prices. I tried to revise it a month and realized it needed to be done over the phone. The customer sales rep was useless and had no knowledge of anything and put me on hold for 20 minutes to only come back and say they could not change my coverage and increase coverage back to what Ive had it at for 8 years. Crazy business they run, when asking why they said my dog is old and she probably has some issues. Which this is not the case. Needless to say I will be shopping around for a new pet insurance provider. This company is Garbage!
Embrace - Look elsewhere for pet insurance.
I have had Embrace for 4 years as it is a preferred provider of USAA (which I am a member). To be honest, I am extremely unhappy with this provider. I have had the insurance for 4 years and have NEVER made a claim and my premium just doubled! Yes doubled! It was already extremely high to begin with. My pet insurance premium is now more expensive then my car insurance and my renters insurance combined! I will be finding a new insurance provider and plan on canceling my policy with Embrace asap. I highly recommend you look elsewhere for pet insurance.
Embrace - Rejection of claims
Seems every insurance claim is first rejected for not enough information from the veterinarian when in fact because they are dealing with Embrace they take extra care in supply additional information, thus delaying any reimbursements.
Embrace - I am appalled
I am appalled, I have never submitted an insurance claim for my pet in 16 years until this time. The claim was for $548 ad Embrace refunded my $22???? PLUS before they approved my claim they sent me my renewal cost for the new policy which has now doubled in price. It's time for me to look for another insurance company for my pet.
Embrace - WORST INSURANCE COMPANY EVER
Just the worst ever. Charge a fortune, avoid paying anything. This insurer ought to be excluded from writing policies in most states due to unethical practices, excessive premiums, horrid customer service. Expect to pay a fortune, be treated like a criminal and never be reimbursed for anything.
Go anywhere else for coverage for your beloved pet.
Embrace will just rob you blind and leave you in the lurch.
Embrace - Keep looking elsewhere for insurance
There’s no reason why a claim should take over 6 months to process. There’s no reason why there should’ve been zero movement on a claim for over a 6 month period where reps of embrace just abandon the claim and leave clients high and dry. There’s no reason why I as the paying customer should be doing the representatives jobs and contacting all of these clinics myself to gather medical records that they’re suppose to retrieve. My claim sat for over 6 months because my rep didn’t want to pick up the phone and contact the clinic my dogs rescue brought him to before we adopted him. It took me 3 minutes on the phone to gather the information that they couldn’t gather between the time of June to January. My wife and I will be exploring new pet insurance from a different company.
