Hi, I’m new to this sub. My husband got brinks security system before we got married, few months ago I was going through our monthly budgets and saw $65 for brinks subscription for the cameras barely working and not recording anything when something important happened. For example somebody broke in to my husband’s car and camera didn’t record then I called them and they asked $1500 for cancellation because it’s 5 years contract.. I hung up and was planning to take it to small claim court but some other major life events happened and I didn’t think about it until yesterday when somebody hit my husband’s car in front of our house where the camera supposed to record but it didn’t.. I’m so mad and want to get rid of entire system from our house and don’t want to have any legal attachment to them anymore. How can I do that without paying $1500? Would small claim court fix this?
