Ambetter - I have an Ambetter policy through ACA (Pennie.com) and I am wondering if there is anyway to get out of it? It is the worst insurance ever.
They have declined every single submission I have made, saying out of network on everything (including doctors that are on their list). They won't even apply out of network payments I have made myself towards deductible. The insurance is a joke, I have to resubmit everything multiple times. I've been a massive fan of ACA till now (blue cross, Capital, etc).
Is there anyway to get out of this insurance?
Ambetter - What to do?
So I canceled my health insurance with ambetter on 3/22/2025 and i got charged agian for April. I called twice and asked if there was any way that they could refund the money they stole for that one month and they of course said that they didn't charge me and that im crazy. I have the bank statement and the cancelation form. Who do I go to to report this and how do I get my money back?
Ambetter - Help with Ambetter, numbers given not working with CVS.
I live in the states in Indiana.
I went to my doctor this morning and used my insurance card fine. They prescribed me meds, I went to CVS and they are saying my insurance card is not working.
I called ambetter and they claimed I got a new ID number, I gave CVS the number and they said it's still not right. They gave me another number and it's the same as on my insurance card.
What is going on? I have a feeling CVS is messing up but maybe it's Ambetter??
AmBetter - 25 year old searching for his own health insurance
I’ve never had to worry about health insurance before, so I have not learned any of the insurance lingo or terms. I’m in a very specific, very tricky situation.
I was in an accident 2 years ago that I am still recovering from. I have a plastic surgery that I still need done to complete the recovery. At the same time, I am being kicked off of my parents insurance.
Is there a reputable insurer that young adults generally use? My parents suggested AmBetter, but their reviews are really poor and lots of reviews say they deny coverage for surgeries.
I’m willing to pay a premium if it means I can get better care throughout my recovery. I still need physical therapy and a permanent shoe-lift made. I’m hoping to find insurance that will cover me through all of this. I cannot get insurance through an employer, because I can’t hold any serious jobs that offer insurance while I am going through recovery.
Any tips are appreciated, thank you in advance!
Ambetter - Ambetter denied me overage for Genetic Testing
I am currently 2 months pregnant and just recently went for my 2nd pre-natal routine checkup. They performed a papsmear, and a ton of blood testing since I am almost 40yrs and it may be in the high risk category for pregnancy. Before I went in to see the doctor. The people at the front desk assured me that my Ambetter plan covers everything that needed to be done. But today, I received a letter in the mail from ambetter saying that I was denied for "Genetic Testing" as it falls out of their covered services. I am really stressed out about this and don't know what I should do. The people at the doctor's office told me they cover it, and ambetter is telling me otherwise. I also signed up for CHIP perinatal and wonder if that covers Genetic Testing.
