I purchased the housing letter, however I was unable to use it because I was so busy and ended up moving into a home where I did not need it whatsoever. I asked for a refund SIMPLY for half of it (1 of the 2 installments), which was $72 of $144 in total. They tried to make me feel bad for even asking when I was polite by saying their therapists worked very hard to make this letter for me, as if I had a direct effect on how much money the therapists would make and as if I hadn't worked hard for my $144 I dropped on them for no reason. Keep in mind that it states "money back guarantee"! When I stated that it says that there is a guarantee refund, they furthered the guilt tripping by saying they couldn't since their therapists processed all of my questionnaires and everything and that I could ONLY get a refund if I was discriminated against by a specified company or person. It is obviously my fault for not realizing how expensive this letter would cost and not considering that I may be changing locations, however I am a hardworking college student that needs all the money that I can get and save. When I see "money back guarantee" and it is a false promise backed with guilt-tripping customer service, which by the way does not have a functional phone number or a timely email response, I get very upset. I have no respect for a company that does not know how to respect it's customers.

They stole someone’s identity to write a fake letter

Have never reimbursed me for costs that my insurance is supposed to cover. Doesn't get back to me when my vet submits invoices. Some of which are over 6 months old.

Only will pay for something’s like medicated baths or allergy shots a certain number of times ....., not good cause my dog has skin reactions to allergies

Have been with PET PLAN 10 years and am very disappointed with the services, that I am receiving. I was told by customer service that there is no problem filing a claim as long as the policy has not lapsed, apparently a new management has taken over and what was common practice is no longer valid. I discovered that the representatives say what ever they need to , maybe to get you off the phone. The misrepresentation has cost me

I wish there was a website to log into where you could review your policy, see claim history and claim status, even submit claims... really anything to do with the policy

While other pet insurance companies will pay for items they consider medically necessary for their clients, AKC does not. Unfortunately my dog is older, now with health problems, so it isn’t realistic moving to a different company due to pre existing conditions, otherwise I would. They are slow to pay compared to other companies and they will begrudgingly reimburse you, nickel and diming you at all turns. I don’t recommend at all. There are so many better pet insurance companies out there.

Six month waiting period on certain conditions? So my poor pup who had a luxating patella months after I enrolled won’t be covered? That’s sad! When I pay for my medical insurance, I’m covered. When I pay for my auto insurance, I’m covered. When I pay for my pet insurance, I’m not fully covered for half a year. What a shame!
