Have an issue with your insurance?
Let everyone know!
Insurance companies are constantly reviewing us. Are we too old? Do we live in the wrong place? Is our credit score high enough? Well, now it's time to turn the tables. Do you charge too much? Will you pay my claim quickly? Is your coverage worse than it seems? We can review you too.
AKC Pet Insurance - Took a while to get the claim process…
Took a while to get the claim process going and had a severe backlog of claims with no refunds. However, now that the learning curve submission of my claims is over, refunds seem to be coming quicker without having to resubmit.
AKC Pet Insurance - I would have gave a 5 but I have not…
I would have gave a 5 but I have not been able to log into my online portal for well over a month and no one seems to be able to fix it and it's VERY inconvenient for me
AKC Pet Insurance - are you kidding
are you kidding? on a $766.89 vet bill I got back a whopping $113! I could have saved the monthly premium and paid for this myself.
Waggy Pet - Letter is not reliable and looks fake
Letter is not reliable and looks fake. The customer service was great, as Tamarah was nice and really helpful over the phone. However, the final product - despite if it is technically in accordance with federal guidelines - looks fake. Not to mention, it has a website address on it that if you go to - tells the whole world that you "purchased" the letter and that the doctor's cannot be contact directly - which makes it look even less legitimate. The letter head does not look legitimate from a doctor's office and you can immediately tell it is a purchased letter. If you have a landlord who doesn't care - this will work - however, if you have one who does i.e. a corporate office for an apartment complex, this would never fly. The money back guarantee that is promised is not exactly real because they won't refund your money if the letter is not accepted. I had to spend double the money because I went back to the service I've used for years and never had issues with - Waggy was the first time I was just outright told "no" with regard to my ESA documentation. Even if there were "doubts" with my other service provider's letter, there was nothing a landlord could say to say that it wasn't real because it didn't have a website on the letter like Waggy's that boldly told the world you purchased it through a service even though you had a real evaluation. This would get zero stars because the letter has a horrible letterhead, a website listed on the letter that tells everyone it is purchased and that the doctor cannot be contacted directly, it wasn't accepted by an apartment I applied to (although I know someone else who did have theirs accepted by a different landlord - they were more lenient), and they refused to honor the money back guarantee on their website (it doesn't give any conditions on the website). However, I give it one star because Tamarah was nice on the phone - and I can't give less than one star.
Go Pet Plan - Watch out for Petplan
Watch out for Petplan -- they used to be a great company, I have three pets currently insured with them, with an additional two in the past. They used to have reasonable pricing and policies with stellar customer service -- NO MORE! First they changed their underwriter, then the renewal prices went WAY UP with significant changes for the worst in the coverage. Now, without any notice, they have stopped paying claims that are submitted 90 days after the treatment. The rep says "that always been in the policies but we didn't enforce it." That may be the case but in the past, I was told repeatedly by representatives that past claims would be paid without any problem. We did not get any notification of this change. Now I have hundreds of dollars in claims that I haven't filed for treatment and medication. I'm stuck because of my pets' preexisting conditions. Stay away from PetPlan.
Go Pet Plan - Complicated and not worth it
Submitting a claim to Petplan is actually more complicated than submitting to my human insurance. To date, they've denied every claim that I've submitted on the (faulty) basis that my pet's condition was pre-existing (it wasn't). I've filed an appeal but have yet to have a response from Petplan. In the meantime, they continue to send me marketing material every few days to get me to continue subscribing.
Go Pet Plan - If I could give zero stars I would
If I could give zero stars I would! I had a claim rejected due to a ‘pre existing condition’ my dog never had! I asked for the documentation that pet plan had (under GDPR I’m entitled to it) but they didn’t send it, instead I received an email telling me what they had already told me over the phone. I did ask my vets for the documentation they sent to petplan and there is no mention of it being a ‘condition’, it was classed as post operative precaution. No wonder Petplan won’t send me the documentation I am legally entitled to. I’ve been paying this company over the odds for 7 years, for a policy that isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. I think Petplan just take your money with no intention of insuring your beloved pet! Disgusting!
Waggy Pet - They Scammed An 80 Year Old Veteran
I'm 80. I do not fly. I needed a physician to sign the letter for an apartment lease. The huge bold print said $20 for each letter. I only needed one. When they took my credit card they did not give me an opportunity to look at the invoice first. I received a bill for $153. Far more than the $20 for one letter I asked for and needed. It was not signed by a physician but by an MSW. They said none was available at the time. I said I could wait but needed a doctor's signature. This is an option they offer. Long story short: They are a scam. They scammed an 80-year-old veteran. I am writing to BBB also and my bank is looking into a full refund. Do not, I repeat do NOT do business with these scam artists. They are not legitimate, treat you horribly and do not live up to their advertisements and guarantee. I will keep fighting until I get a full and complete refund. Just a terrible, terrible place.
AKC Pet Insurance - Takes too long to respond
Takes too long to respond. When calling, you are left on the phone if you're already a member. Clarification is not easy.
Waggy Pet - One of the worst customer services
One of the worst customer services ever! Tamara is so rude and hangs up on you when you have valid questions she can’t answer. Not to mention it takes days to hear back from an actual representative and not a machine email. Save yourself the money and time and go to your doctor or psychiatrist for the esa letter. Because this is fraud website with no real phone numbers and legit letters. I will keep you guys updated as to getting my refund which they said I would but they haven’t gave me a solid response as to when I’ll receive it.
