Apple - $700 Stolen from Apple Gift Card – Apple Refusing to Help or Escalate
Location: Texas. I’m beyond frustrated. $700 was stolen from an Apple gift card in my Apple account, and Apple is refusing to refund the money. I’ve contacted support multiple times, and every advisor says the same thing — they can’t connect me to a supervisor, and there’s nothing more they can do.
I provided all the evidence: the gift card purchase receipt, my account history, and the fact that the fraudulent charges happened without my authorization. Yet Apple won’t escalate the issue or involve their Apple ID Security team.
I know gift card fraud is a common issue, but this money was stolen from my account, and I feel completely stonewalled. Has anyone had success getting Apple to actually take action on something like this? Any advice on how to escalate this further?
This is seriously making me rethink using Apple services at all. $700 is a huge amount to just write off.
PetsBest - Thoughts on this insurance appeal for PetsBest
Recently, my cat had to be rushed to the ER due to urinary blockage (FLUTD) , I submitted his bills, which rounded up to 7k, but the insurance denied it as pre-existing.
* Pet had not prior diagnosis or sign of illness in the past with a clean record
* Vet stated that he had issues peeing in an instance of stress due to construction and not due to FLUTD, and recommended Feliway Diffusers
* Vet also wrote a letter for me specifying that the symptoms were not related to pre-existing FLUTD
Now at the time that he started to show symptoms of blockage and straining the policy was already active and the waiting period was over. Am I crazy for thinking that them using past symptoms that were specified to not be related to deny my claim is actually wrong, and this emergency should fall under coverage?
United Healthcare - Type 1 diabetes/health insurance in ohio being married
I am wondering if anyone has figured out the best insurance available in ohio that is budget friendly? I use to have medicaid but they kicked me off a few months ago and ever since I've been on this healthcare marketplace insurance with united healthcare but in still struggling with paying it and living my life lol...
I have omnipod and dexcom g7 and they barely cover that... I'm also wondering if it would help to find separate insurance from my spouse? Or just to stay on the same insurance?
Healthy Paws - I have Healthy Paws for my pup and now I’m worried after seeing all these posts.
My girl will be 8 in October. Premium went up last month but nothing too crazy yet. She has a very slight heart murmur that’s not affecting her (yet) and hip dysplasia, so I’m very concerned that if I switch those won’t be covered since they’re pre existing. But it sounds like Healthy Paws will be too expensive in a couple years anyway. Does anyone know of any insurance that does cover pre existing conditions?? (That’s probably a stupid question.) Should I switch now before something else comes up?? If so, what other insurances are good?
Trupanion - 2 year old doodle who eats everything
I have a almost 2 year doodle whom I just spent over 7K on for sugery to remove a sock.2 days after surgery the site got infected and the sutures ripped. I’ve been looking at pet insurance reviews but it all seems so overwhelming and it feels like the good and the bad are balanced.
Currently i’m looking for a company that will pay up front which based on what i’m seeing that would be Trupanion as i’m constantly living in fear and has gotten extreme anxiety from always thinking he’s gonna swallow something again.
I’ve always swiped out my savings to practically save his life.
Any advice or help would be appreciated!!
Erie Insurance - Erie Insurance Rate Hike 2025
Got the new 2025 Auto Insurance invoice from Erie Insurance. The only thing I can figure is one of my adult sons hit an unknown object lying in the middle of the turnpike late at night that resulted in some damage to one of our cars. It wasn't anyone's fault and Erie ended up paying out about $3,500 for repairs. But I don't think that justifies such a huge rate increase for each vehicle!!!
**Anyone else get huge price jumps from Erie Insurance?**

Wawanesa - Looking for ideas for auto insurance
Alright here's whats going on
Been licensed since 2021
Got into first accident (at fault) in november of 2022
Got into accident last month (feburary 2025)
Before the 2025 accident I was with Wawanesa and was paying I believe $350 a month for insurance but they just dropped me. Things are generally close by so I was planning on just lasting out on a Non-owner's policy until insurance becomes affordable (I'm guessing nov/dec since the 2022 accident will be 3 years old then) but I'm curious if anyone has any other suggestions. I looked in to pay-per-mile insurance but it doesn't seem like there is anyone offering it here in California. Any help is appreciated.
Wells Fargo - Do I pay off my car loan or student loans first?
Car loan— 12,000 to pay off, interest rate is 7.8%
Federal student loans— 6,000 to pay off, interest rates average about 4%
I called Wells Fargo, as this is what my auto loan is through and they told me their is no benefit to paying off my car early (as in I won’t save any money) very confused as I know this is a “fixed loan”. Obviously it is better to pay off the higher interest rate, but if it’s a fixed loan does that matter??
Any advice on which to pay off first??
State Farm - Is it standard for a wet signature upon policy termination?
I got a much better quote from New York life insurance for a life policy then my current State farm policy. It's my busy season of work and I was hoping to be able to docusign or just cancel over the phone. I was told I need a wet signature which means I'll have to take off a day or half off work.
Part of me wants to just cancel my auto and home policies as well with them over this. Are they just being difficult with me or is this standard with State farm?
Aetna - Ambulance Bill in Network or out of network?
My wife was in Seattle late last year and needed an ambulance ride to the hospital for an emergency. AMR, the provider is billing me $900+ for the amount that Aetna didn't cover at the in Network benefit. AMR shows as in network on Aetna but AMR is claiming they are out of network. Aetna says the tax identification number that AMR used is different than the in network number they have.
Aetna said this in a message but doesn't seem to make sense:
"If the provider bills you for an additional amount, please send a copy of this Explanation of Benefits and the bill from the provider."
Anyone ever had an issue like this and who can I contact to resolve?
Also we live in Illinois and get our insurance in Illinois.
