Waggle - UK Doggo Insurance?
My dog (cocker) is just over 2 years old, I was with Waggle before but they just keep increasing the price each year and I have never needed them for anything. No claim, no nothing & the only vet she ever needed I paid out of pocket.
So decided to cancel and look at other options. I doubt I'll get lucky but is any insurance like an NHS service where I can just pay a monthly fee then everything is covered?
Like how us as a human went into a hospital and It's free as we pay for it monthly
I spoke to my vet who said insurance works like reimbursement where I would have to outright pay example £10,000 then claim it back from my insurance but I don't have £10,000 just sitting in my bank so how would it work otherwise?
(first time doggo owner so sorry if these seem stupid asking)
Turo - Rental company trying to collect on damage I did not cause
Location: Georgia
I rented a car in canada, but am a US citizen living in Georgia. The rental company (Turo) is claiming damage that I did not cause and wants me to pay. They say if I do not pay they will “send it to collections”. The company does also exist in the US, but since the rental was in canada, do they have any ability to try and collect from me?
TriWest - ED out of pocket pay
Hello,
So last year I got bit by a stray dog and had to go get my rabies shot. I went to urgent care first where they told me to go to the ED (nonprofit) down the road to get the shots. I went to the ED, got the shots, and went on my merry way.
I got a bill yesterday for the shots where my insurance (TriWest as a dependent) paid for $25,000 of the $28,000 and the hospital left the $3,000 balance to me.
Is there any way I can find out if the hospital gives assistance? I’m a college student and I can’t afford such a high bill with every other bill I have so I just want to pick your brain on ways I could possibly reduce this. I am in Texas, and I currently have no income.
Thank you!
I rejoined British Columbia Automobile Association (BCAA) last year, after a short time away. I like the extra comfort in having them as a backup for my driving. But, when I renewed this year, they had to fix a double payment issue. I had not caught the double payment myself. I paid online with a credit card. They charged the credit card the next month, without me knowing about it. FYI. Still staying with them for back-up but will check payments closer in the future. I got a refund and 9 months extra. fyi.
Pets Best - Best insurance for 1YO chihuahua mix with a chronic limp?
Hi all,
I have been losing my mind trying to figure out which coverage would be best for my pup. He is a 1YO chihuahua/poodle mix who was rescued off the side of the road at 3 months with a broken hip. He has had FHO surgery which did seem to help reduce his pain and allow him to put more weight on the limb (left hindleg). He loves running and jumping around and generally acts like a happy puppy, but will likely always walk with a limp. I'm aware he may develop issues as he gets older from compensating.
We currently have Pets Best, which we have not had a good experience with. We have sent them the same documents three times and every time they said they did not receive it, even when I'm actively looking at the email to their claims department while on the phone with them. Then it takes a full two months for them to review the documents, only for at the end of two months for them to close my claim because they did not receive my documents.... and thus the cycle continues.......
Which insurance would you recommend? Should I just suck it up and accept that I'm likely going to have to pay in full for any orthopedic issues? I'm happy paying on the higher end ($70-$100 a month) for more full coverage that would include exam visits, medications, etc, but I'm having a hard time figuring out which insurance would work best for my pet. Any advice y'all have to give would be greatly appreciated and save me hours of going down this rabbit hole!!!
Healthy Paws - PSA: use Chat GPT to identify which insurance plan will save you the most money (if any)
like many others, I was just hit with a huge increase - more than double - for Healthy Paws. we do have pretty significant monthly spend (thank youuu environmental allergies), so I wasn't likely to cancel completely, but I decided to run all the options for 90%, 80%, and 70% coverage through chat gpt, including my set monthly vet expenses. it gave me a detailed explanation for why insurance is still a good idea for me, and which option specifically would save me the most money. for my scenario, it ended up being 80% at $1000 deductible.
just a suggestion in case youre not sure what your next step should be.
Comenity Bank - Help me improve my credit score
I applied for a comenity card through Forever21 (big mistake). I had a total debt of $300 dollars on that account. The customer representative took down the wrong address and name so I never received a physical credit card resulting in not being able to make the payment. I had to leave country for a month and I couldn’t receive any calls from comenity resulting in a 60 days late payment. My credit score plummeted from 715 to 533 (Feb 2024). I am trying to get my credit score up. Despite my $2000 spending every month on my Amex card, my credit score has gone up to 581. I moved to US in 2022 so I don’t have a long payment history.
What are my options here? Should I contact comenity? Or should I try to contact Transunion? I’m worried that I will get not get an apartment now that my lease is coming to an end.
Embrace Insurance - Save time and money avoid Embrace insurance
After 3 phone ,RESENDING MY CLAIM TWICE AND APPX TWO MONTH LATER THEY HAVE NOT PAID OUT MY CLAIM'. After less then enrolling a year since enrolling my 2 year old dog they raised my rate. when she turned 3, I never had so much issues when dealing with another company.
Spot - Pet insurance for 2 puppies
I’ve been scrolling this thread trying to find the best option for mine and my husband’s dogs but it seems every option sucks. We have a 7 month old rat terrier and a 10-12 week old husky mix (not positive on age or breed as we just got her and she was abandoned by previous owner). I looked at spot but all the reviews are terrible, same with ASPCA. My biggest concern is the cost of preventative care like vaccines. Both are due for vaccines and I’m hoping to find a way to lower the cost somehow. Someone please point me in the right direction 😅
Geico - Got into an Accident and police say we were both guilty will this damage my credit score ?
I was At a stop and some lady came up speeding to turn on where I was. When the police came she told them that she didnt see me and that a i blew the horn but she was too late. She hit my car and i had to pay 2,000 dóllar to fix my car. The police say we were both At fault but i told him i never move from the stop and that i was going to make a right turn when I saw her but i never was able to move. He made us both guilty. A few month later i revive a letter from geico saying i own them like 10,000. Will this kill my credit score? I dont have that money to pay. I have check my credit and i see nothing but am afraid they will put on my credit soon or later. Its being months already. It was back in january.
