I wasted 54 mins on phone getting a quote. I was twice referred to Underwriter who initially tried to exclude all arthritis in any part of body, despite only more likely to occur in our dogs rear legs, due to Luxating Platella. Underwriter changed mind after lengthy debate.

Purchased Pumpkin pet insurance for 1 years old Goldendoodle. 20K/90%/$250 deductible for $55. Had 2 claims: one for diarrhea (went toward deductible) and 1 for paw treatment (poison ivy). Claims were paid fast. At age 2 premium $77. "Not due to claim history. But due to your pet's age and your location". I contacted them about this. Got reply: "Your pet is growing older.", "Rates and age factors are filed and approved by your state's department of insurance.", "Due to advancements in veterinary treatments, vets can now do more for our fur babies".
Pawp - Ok...
2nd time of use and like regular doctors they prescribe anything and everything

I’m very happy with the quick turnaround once a claim is filed. It’s such an easy process. Thank you Pet Partners!!
Pawp - Need for change
I want to first say that the 2 Veterinarians that I spoke with were great. That is why I am giving a 3 star rate.
Pawp - Horrible experience
Signed up on 1/23. Used service on 1/23 to speak to Vet (it was a vet tech not a vet) She offered advice on diet which we were already doing. My dog died on 1/29. Asked to cancel on 2/24. They canceled said no longer had emergency fund but could still speak to vet. Found out I was charged for full 2nd month. Tried to escalate and was ignored. They continued to send me marketing emails with my dead dog's name. Disgusted with their money grab and lack of customer service
Pawp - This is BO.again
This is BO.again, Iwrote about the reinbustment that pawp would not pay. they reply back to contact Hanna, when I tried ,I could not. And after Tenicka passed on, they took out another month out of my account.that the kind of people that are SCAMMERS.
Bivvy - I have used this company for a while I…
I have used this company for a while I never had submitted a claim. I unfortunately had to put my dog to sleep which was heartbreaking. Now they list that the reimbursement is 50%, after speaking to multiple representatives they never mentioned that first they take the deductible off then they apply the 50%. In all respects it's a ripoff you'll end up paying far more then the coverage actually covers. Why wouldn't a company provide a phone number on their we website, they give the impression that they are far better then others and they are not. There are several other options that provide a better reimbursement percentage scale. Horrible experience they also will delay in paying you the claim. Wouldn't recommend or suggest to anyone. Terrible service and even though I submitted a claim about putting my dog down they decided to send 2 emails a day to take advantage of coverage options for my puppy kiddo twice a day thank you for continually making me relive the experience, great job I will never use them again and plan to leave reviews on every site explaining how you treat your customers
Pawp - Emergency fund riddled with nonsense redtape
Pawp only reimburses emergencies that “require attention within 4 hours”. Meaning if your pet has toxic ingestion, can’t breathe etc, be sure to call pawp before deeming it an emergency and going to the vet because their vet techs know better via a video call than a licensed veterinarian in person. It’s complete nonsense. My cat had lily toxicity confirmed by two vets (and documented Lily pollen on his fur) and I was told that I’m not eligible for my emergency fund because I called pawp only after my cat had been submitted for treatment and I was still sitting in the emergency room. Furthermore despite listing toxic ingestion as the first item on their list of emergency fund eligible, they unlike every other credible source (the FDA, the ASPCA, licensed vets) think that lily treatment is preventative and not emergency. Customer support team is unhelpful and was dismissive after I detailed out and explained my cats diagnosis. I asked who makes the assessments about lily poisoning being an emergency or not, as all experts say it is, and they refused to respond to me question. I imagine most of the positive reviews here are for their video technician support that answers various questions you might have - a decent offering; but not for their emergency fund. I see they state they need this video call to ensure good reason to use their emergency fund, I’d think 15 pages of vet notes, proof of payment, and expert opinions like the FDA and the ASPCA would be enough for that. I expect their rating here will go down as more of their users look to use the emergency service they advertise.
Pumpkin - Messed Up On The Paperwork
O.K, the overall experience of buying my policy was smooth and Pumpkin is a good insurance. But, the declaration page I received with my policy was TOTALLY wrong from effective date to the premium. NOT something you want to see from your insurance company!
