Embrace - Invoice requirement is confusing
This insurance really is a great help for the most part. It takes the stress of dealing with having to take your pet in for an emergency or an urgent need. The coverage is what you need it to be because you can choose the plan that fits your pet. However, it gets hard to send claims in. The requirement of an itemized bills is basically what the provider gives and yet it is not enough to get reimbursement. I basically sent everything that was provided to me by the vet clinic and even the clinic does not know what else is needed. The good thing about this insurance is they DO respond very quickly and they reimburse quickly as well. It is not a question if this is a good insurance because it is. The process and requirement is quite confusing.
Fetch - Poor cutomer service
Poor cutomer service. I have been waiting over 30 days for a pre-approval before dental work under their "every tooth covered" policy. In trying to get an update I only receive automated or scripted replies with no real information.
They cover my pet's medication no problem but even if they end up covering her dental I cannot recommend them based on the support I have received relating to the claim.
Embrace - Have been with Embrace for 6+ years
Have been with Embrace for 6+ years. No issues with the insurance itself but their customer service is TERRIBLE with responding to emails! I'm still waiting for a response weeks later.

Spot - Pet owner BEWARE SPOT is not a good choice
Buyers beware this Pet insurance is a fraud I was enrolled with spot in Jan 22 to Aug22. I filed a number of claims totaling over $1000 and we were reimbursed about $48. Responses to claim problems were delayed, passed back to myself or the Vets office or were delayed due staff shortages. They were difficult to reach unresponsive and demonstrated no regard for my pets health or concern for me as a customer.
This was a terrible choice a waste money and time BEWARE.
Pets Best - Insurance is not worth the return…
For the amount of money I pay on his insurance. Next to nothing was covered on his neuter. The amount of his last bill to get $40 back. I mean come on not even a premium payment back. I will be canceling in the upcoming days your insurance is not worth it

Submitting a claim takes multiple attempts, both with the veterinary and by submitting the claim. I had to continually check in and determine what was happening with the claim to get it resolved and paid. some of the claims are still not completed from 10/22/2024
Embrace - Pays nothing
Pays nothing, just one example: insisted my elder dog's pneumonia was a preexisting condition from 3 years ago. Yes, he has had pneumonia for 3 friggin years! I cancelled, it is pointless as they will only take your money and reject every claim.
Trupanion - Unprofessional costumer service
Today, I had some questions about my policy since they had made so many changes since I joined years ago. Lately, it seems like nothing is covered. Therefore, I started a chat. I had to ask the same question several times as I was given no answer. It was like the agent did not read the question. At the end, she was very rude and unprofessional. The cherry on top was the after email she sent me answering my question in a very passive aggressive and unprofessional way.
ManyPets - Price inflation per year. It's too high.
Very reasonable pricing, about two years ago, then every year since it has doubled each year. Not too pleased with the increase every year. There should be limits to how much you can increase per year.
I started out paying seventy dollars for two dogs. Now over 250 that is crazy.
But very nice company quick payback and easy to communicate with.
