ASPCA - This is the worst pet insurance
This is the worst pet insurance, I have never made a claim and my insurance just continued to increase. when I asked why they said age which is understandable, they also said because of the amount of other boxers were making claims. I dont see how my dog who is healthy should be charged for dogs that are not. I would even understand if it was a slight increase but an increase of 93 dollars. This is a total money grab company. whish I could give negative stars.

Embrace - SCAM! They changed waiting period.
Embraced arbitrarily changed the waiting period from 14 days to 30 days to avoid paying claims.

I recently encountered an issue with Metlife regarding their refund policy. A representative assured me over the phone that I would receive a "full refund." However, the policy lacks clarity on whether the enrollment fee is refundable, leading to confusion. This ambiguity raises concerns about potential loopholes in other areas of their policies.
Under the Arizona Consumer Fraud Act, it's unlawful to engage in deceptive practices or make false promises in connection with the sale of merchandise

. Misrepresenting refund policies may fall under such deceptive practices.
I have escalated this matter and hope for a fair resolution. I urge Metlife to enhance transparency in their policies to prevent similar issues for other customers.
Embrace - Expensive Policy Covered Nothing Entire Year
Policy cost almost twice the one I had previously with another company and didn’t cover any wellness issues. I was expected to pay yet more per month to have wellness issues covered (was already paying over $100/mo). I’m sorry but for the price paid and $0 coverage for anything I had done to take care of my dog was just way too much and not a justifiable expense. Sad. I’d rather put that money in a savings account and use it accordingly which seems to make more financial and logical sense.
Fetch - The absolute worse ever
The absolute worse ever! They are incapable of making a proper reimbursement. Almost 2 years & i have yet to get my funds reimbursed. They deposited my money in someone else’s account. I was in the process of moving & their policy is to mail checks. I never received any checks. Now they insist they cannot deposit my funds in my account, must be a check. I highly suggest you find another insurance company. There are so many now i am having trouble determining which to go with. Good luck.

First year $44 a month for a kitten, 2nd renewal was $55. Just received this years renewal to be $96. I would have never joined if I knew this is how they manage rates. Absolute bait and switch!

My rate went from $90 to $220 in a couple of years. That's almost as much as I pay for my own health insurance and they have yet to cover any of my claims including a very expensive hip surgery. It's such a rip off, spca and nationwide have much better customer service and rates. I mean honestly at this point I could've put the money I've spent on trupanion away each month and paid off the surgery and other services and still had money left over. What's the point of insurance when this becomes the case?

Good insurance but God takes care of me they raised mine from 847 to 1323 dollars. They are good but ridiculous on raising the price like that. You seem to not be able to take care of nothing with this companies.
Embrace - Deceptive billing practices
Been with you for several years, and been very happy, until now. I never received a renewal email notice this year, nor did I receive notice the day before I was billed. Seems convenient, seeing as my premium had a 200% increase. And because I didn't notice it until the day I was billed, and you were closed , I had to wait until the next day to cancel. And then I was charged 15 dollars for those 2 days. You don't allow cancelation through the website. So, you should have 24 hour coverage, so when someone gets blind sided, they can take action immediately. I feel it is deceptive billing practices, and that is how I am going to address it to the BBB. I have had the same email address since joining, and it wasn't in my junk mail. I am sure I am not the only one who has been surprised.
