Pets Best - Loyalty means nothing, will not work with you
My first year with pets best was phenomenal, I got reimbursed and in a timely manner. The second year I didn't have to use insurance at all. Well I couldn't afford the insurance over the next 2 or 3 months because if income. They suggested lowering things which doesn't matter if you can't afford it at all. All they could do is straight up cancel and now my dog will have preexisting condition if I come back in a couple months because I had to cancel.
Spot - They charged my account for 3 months…
They charged my account for 3 months even though I cancelled it the day after I started because I found somewhere cheaper They refuse to help me and won’t give me my money back!!! STAY AWAY!!!
Embrace - I have embrace for our fur baby
I have embrace for our fur baby, and I was just informed that the first claims will take up to 30 days.. Embrace has all medical history & medical bills, and was told it will take 30 days !! I was not told this when taking this pet insurance out for our dog.. I was told they have a quick turnaround and will get reimbursed with in 10 days !! NOT TRUE
MetLife - This is not good insurance
This is not good insurance. It take them forever to denial a claim and they don’t respond to emails or answer the phone.
Nationwide - Dropped. 9 years no claims
So after I pay 9 years without a claim on my cat, they drop me for no reason. What a bunch of......
Nationwide - DON'T DO IT!
So I saw all the reviews and I applied anyways some where good. Well Was I wrong! I have 3 cats and 2 dogs one was 9 at the time. Well when it came to renew the older Dog was going to be 10 years old and more money and that was ok but the last 2months before the date they should be taken the money out They took out more money then they should have. I asked them about the first time and they said nothing and the 2nd time they said I was sent a letter that before the big payments would start I would need to pay a deposit why I have been with you all for a year. I asked to cancel all 5 animal's I had with them....Talk about biting the hand that feeds you! No one asked if I would like to talk to a manager and I can only assume they wouldn't care as well.! Then I asked if the money would be put back in my account they said yes. Well Not there yet it was 3 days late I had to call back and they stated it takes 8 days for this to happen WTH they have no problem taken your money but can't give it back as fast as they can take it out that's CRAP! I have to say they are not flexible as well they don't care if you live check to check like the rest of the world! I'm going back to HEALTH PAWS I never had a problem with them! I think all insurance is a scam and to fill pockets for the big people but man when your pets get hurt they should be there! I have to say HEALTH PAWS was there for my older Dog I should of never left! I did leave because I was going to put the new cats on as well and Health Paws was a lot don't for get I live check to check with the rest of the world. So going back to them with the Dogs maybe I will fine a place for the cats and this time I will do my research well for them!
Nationwide - The website was user friendly
The website was user friendly, but I applied just a few minutes ago, so I have no idea how good the company is, or how much I trust Peyton Manning.
ASPCA - Asked me to pay back my reimbursed claims
ASPCA has been great... until last week... when they reached out to me saying they had made a mistake a few months back and "accidentally" approved several claims that I had over 6+ months ago that they now believe were potentially caused by a preexisting condition. Which is not the case. And they are now asking me to repay them over $600 in the next 30 days from reimbursements they made to me literally between 4 months ago and 10 months ago. Absolutely absurd and unacceptable. I am good about not submitting claims that are truly for preexisting conditions, so this is just very disappointing. Not to mention - I don't have the $600 that they reimbursed me a year ago?! I would understand more if it were from last month, but there should be a limitation on how far in advance they can ask for money back.
Pets Best - Better to not have insurance
They hide everything in the fine print. Their accident and illness plan doesn’t cover the emergency exam portion of your emergency visit which is often half of the price of taking your pet to an emergency vet. They also only pay $150 towards spay/neuter and won’t cover anything that is labeled as pre-op such as medications or the pre-op visit, even though they advertise covering spay/neuter. We paid $71/month for 9 months with a new puppy (lots of exams, vaccines, office visits, neuter, and emergency visits) and got reimbursed a whopping $200 total in that time because nothing is covered or even counts toward your deductible. It makes more sense to not have this insurance.
Embrace - Good day!
