Trupanion - Web site needs improving
I have been trupanion member for 9 years. Trying to add a new puppy - was unable add, frozen screen on Safari, and they did not give me choices regarding deductible in registration of new puppy - so ended up with more expensive policy that I wanted
Fetch - I have 2 Labradors insured by Fetch…
I have 2 Labradors insured by Fetch since they were puppies. They were evaluated for hip & joint problems by vet per requested by Fetch to wave a 1 year waiting period on hip problems. They have had their checkups with the same vet practice & are in excellent health. The have increased my annual premiums by double over the last 3 years for my one dog who is now 8 & the other dog who is 6 I just got her renewal & they have almost doubled that. They offer a lower premium by suggesting you lower your annual payout & increase your deductible which amounts to $10 to $12 a month. I did this with the older of the 2 when he
6 years old & the next year they increased my premium back higher again. I contacted Fetch today & offered the same solution which I refused . They are saying it’s the breed & age but I have contacted another person who I recommended Fetch too & the same reason is being given to her for the increase in her premiums. Her dog is a small breed mixed breed part Papion . She has never filed a claim & has had her policy less than mine . Fetch is increasing our policies for other dogs health problems. I do not mind & expect
increases in premiums but not at the amounts they are inflicting on their insured. I wonder if they are trying to price you out so you can no longer afford your policy after they have collected premiums for years with no serious claims or any claims at all.
Embrace - Worth the money?
I pay $770+ a year for an insurance policy. When we took our dog to the vet it cost us over $600. We were reimbursed $80. The math isn’t mathing.
Embrace - Very little has been paid for from any…
Very little has been paid for from any of my claims. Not sure where the monthly funds are going, I may cancel it if they do not cover any of my latest claim.
Embrace - It’s about making a profit, not about the pet or the pet owner
It’s all about money and not about the pet owners like I have always said and I will continue to say so. This is why I’m not keeping it. The company is making money, not losing money with the pet owners. I would not recommend Embrace to anyone.
Embrace - This company find anyway not to pay…
This company find anyway not to pay claims please do your research. And they do not have the best customer service and call back
ManyPets - Very disappointed
I have had Manypets for over 3 years and never really had any issues. As of the end of 2024, they informed me that all US accounts were being changed to Odie Pet Insurance. Odie is a terrible scam of a company who takes money but does not review or reimburse claims. I am writing this review to Manypets because Odie is not available to be reviewed but also because I am very unhappy that I was forced to use this company and they are causing me very large debts. Neither company is helping me in any way.
Embrace - Research carefully
Please research carefully before selecting this company.
I don't object to their nonpayment of claims.
They appear to select any reason to not pay a claim.
Not only did I have to endure the trauma of burying her, here are two distressing excerpts from their response to my euthanazia claim.
'This condition and any related conditions or clinical signs would be eligible for coverage in the future provided your pet remains free of signs/symptoms/treatment for a full 12 months from the most recent occurrence'.
'As such, these and any future masses (including cancer) would be excluded from coverage by the policy.'
Nationwide - Coverage
Had pet insurance through an employer and called Nationwide to find out how I could keep my dog insured and pay with a credit card instead of payroll withdrawal as I switched employers. I was told I would owe a couple hundred dollars if I switched payment methods and the alternative given was payroll didn’t update I was no longer employed and to call back in a few weeks to cancel so I didn’t owe anything. Called back & cancelled, called back to reenroll him and was told he would no longer be covered by illness since he now is over 9 years old and is a “new plan”. This person I spoke with told me if I paid the couple hundred dollars initially it would have just been applied to my account and he still would have been covered by illness. When I brought up the fact this was never explained to me and that the way it was explained had no reimbursement aspect they said there was nothing they could do as it was past the 24 hours of plan change. Unfortunately this is the cheapest insurance for accident coverage so I will stay with Nationwide, but horrible experience and not sure I will use them for my next animal.
Fetch Canada - They do not offer 90% per advertising
I have been with Fetch for 5 plus years. all was going well until i had to renew last year. They increased my plan from $450 /year to $850 /year. i was okay with that since i had used their services the year before. But this year they increased the deductible from $300 to $1000 and only 50% reimbursement for $450. per year. I asked to keep my old plan and that was not an option for me. They were not willing to customize the plan or bend on any request. I either accepted the new plan or term the insurance coverage which i did and was quoted with another vendor for the plan i requested. I am very upset with Fetch and would not recommend them to any one.
