Embrace - This company find anyway not to pay…
This company find anyway not to pay claims please do your research. And they do not have the best customer service and call back
Fetch - Your medical records requirements are…
Your medical records requirements are excessive and time consuming. My claim has been delayed due to this. I submitted what I thought was adequate medical records, (invoices for the time specified) but when I filed a claim I was told that they would not suffice. I had Nationwide for the life spans of both dogs and NEVER had to go through anything like this. I am seriously considering looking for another insurance plan for my dogs.
ManyPets - We had a policy on our dog for about 5 years
We had a policy on our dog for about 5 years. It seems like they covered nothing except for a mass and the euthanasia - but that didn't even meet the deductible, so we received nothing.
5 years and several thousand dollars later.
I suppose we were lucky that our fur baby only went in for annual visits until the very end when we had a few extra visits.
They never covered any arthritis issues b/c somewhere in the notes, the vet mentioned his rear leg was stiff.
Fetch - Horrible service and denial of coverage
I write this review one day after leaving a positive review for Alicia. I have been a customer since 2020 and submitted my first claim ever within the last week for my dog. Vet records going back to 2020 place a "note" on his chart 2 days before his waiting period ended that now led to a denial of the claim. Had I not sent the records from 2020 (which I barely remembered existed), would the claim have been approved in its absence? 2020 was a crazy time period for people and I got my dog in to see the vet when I could. To now see that for my first claim (mind you it's >$1,000) it is denied, it all feels very nitpicky for a time period where rules sort of went out the window with a focus on health and wellbeing. But not for Fetch. To me, this is not why I pay for Fetch and ultimately is the reason I just ended my policy. Also, rate increases have been unruly and to pay for another year of coverage when things would likely be noted as "preexisting" anyways, I might as well pay for the work my dog needs out of pocket and then he will have a clean bill of health with respect to that part of his body and another insurance company will not mark it as a preexisting condition like Fetch did. Such a shame and unkind business practice. (This was for mid-January 2025).
To reply to the response from Fetch, one of my main frustrations is that I provided additional medical records after you all requested them. These records were from early 2020, and while on the phone with your representative, she told me clearly that many customers did not have records from that timeframe because of Covid and that it was acceptable if those records were unavailable. Rather than be lazy, I found the records and sent them to you all and they ended up aligning with the waiting period. If I had, like other customers likely did, provided no records for the Covid timeframe in 2020, it sounds like my claim would not have had standing to be denied. That’s my frustration. I went above and beyond to care for my pet, during a health crisis, and to provide those records to you all, and that’s now the basis for the denial.
Nationwide - Terrible Service
I applied for pet insurance and still have not heard back regarding my review for approval. However, you have already taken the money out of my account. I had to call to find out that my dog was approved for the policy; however, the policy did not meet my needs. As a result, I have canceled my policy. I'm extremely disappointed in Nationwide services.
ManyPets - Very disappointed
I have had Manypets for over 3 years and never really had any issues. As of the end of 2024, they informed me that all US accounts were being changed to Odie Pet Insurance. Odie is a terrible scam of a company who takes money but does not review or reimburse claims. I am writing this review to Manypets because Odie is not available to be reviewed but also because I am very unhappy that I was forced to use this company and they are causing me very large debts. Neither company is helping me in any way.
Embrace - Started Off Great, Now a Complete Scam
We had embrace for years. We moved cities and they changed our premium by over $200. We have been previously approved for Physical Therapy for our dog with hip problems and they have now changed the policy so that you have to be in a building with a vet. They have done everything in their power to remove benefits, refuse claims and continue to increase the prices.
Pets Best - Claim denied
The insurance company deemed Boo's condition was pre-existing, so they didn't help us at all.
Nationwide - Coverage
Had pet insurance through an employer and called Nationwide to find out how I could keep my dog insured and pay with a credit card instead of payroll withdrawal as I switched employers. I was told I would owe a couple hundred dollars if I switched payment methods and the alternative given was payroll didn’t update I was no longer employed and to call back in a few weeks to cancel so I didn’t owe anything. Called back & cancelled, called back to reenroll him and was told he would no longer be covered by illness since he now is over 9 years old and is a “new plan”. This person I spoke with told me if I paid the couple hundred dollars initially it would have just been applied to my account and he still would have been covered by illness. When I brought up the fact this was never explained to me and that the way it was explained had no reimbursement aspect they said there was nothing they could do as it was past the 24 hours of plan change. Unfortunately this is the cheapest insurance for accident coverage so I will stay with Nationwide, but horrible experience and not sure I will use them for my next animal.
