Have an issue with your insurance?
Let everyone know!
Insurance companies are constantly reviewing us. Are we too old? Do we live in the wrong place? Is our credit score high enough? Well, now it's time to turn the tables. Do you charge too much? Will you pay my claim quickly? Is your coverage worse than it seems? We can review you too.
ASPCA Pet Insurance - She is a puppy
My pet is 7 months old and they are requesting a full year of vet information prior to considering my first claim. So far not going well at all.
Pumpkin - They tried everything to avoid paying…
They tried everything to avoid paying for our dog’s emergency surgery pulling rules out of the hat after the fact. They were brazenly rude and unprofessional in everyway—in writing through an email exchange! I was a brand new customer too with a dog with no preexisting conditions. Go with others who offer quick payment they advertise but don’t deliver on. They’re fine for rich people who have $15,000 laying around to wait for 2 weeks. This other positive review was curiously updated after mine (I can see the time)even though it was originally posted in July which tells me they put bogus positive reviews on here. We were fortunate enough to get loans and avoid putting our dog down.
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - look for other options
If you have different options better get other insurance company. This company increase the cost more than 15% each year and that is absurd. It is probably you never used on your pets life but they dont care at all.
ASPCA Pet Insurance - Hip dysplasia not covered.
I signed up for "complete coverage" on April 5, 2024. On June 19, I changed vets. New vet wanted to do X-rays. That's when hip dysplasia was diagnosed. I submitted all paperwork from both vets. After a lengthy process, they rejected x-ray, meds, FHO estimate because of pre-existing condition, even though we were beyond the 14 day waiting period that they advertise and condition was not diagnosed before coverage began. They said it was pre-existing because the SOAP notes had a reference to a "limp" in March, even though the vet told me it was not an issue because my pup had good range of motion in both hips. I would have been much better off putting my $83 in the bank. Needless to say, I feel like they have false advertisements.
ASPCA Pet Insurance - I completed a claim at the beginning of…
I completed a claim at the beginning of August and still haven't received my refund. Hoping this second claim goes better. Other than that, it's a good company when you have fur babies to take care of.

Wally is my first dog and I heard about Healthy Paws from my friend. They have been amazing and they can also be reached by phone. I have found their customer service representatives to be amazing, kind, helpful and efficient!

Raised the price even though my dog had no claims in the entire year.
Pumpkin - Very disappointed policy
Very disappointed policy. Can’t believe it doesn’t cover simparico trio . It is a preventative measure.
Pumpkin - I enrolled in your insurance 2 weeks…
I enrolled in your insurance 2 weeks ago and I haven’t received email confirming my insurance.
Dutch Pet Insurance - Never got the prescriptions. Waste of time and money.
My new puppy had tapeworms. The vet couldn’t get him in for a week so I signed up for Dutch where I could get a virtual appointment within the next hour. Awesome! The vet was friendly and said I’ll order him some medicine. I went to the pharmacy to check out paid extra for the shipping and they said I should receive the medication within 1-3 days. Heck yeh! Well that was August 24th. It’s now September 2nd, no medication. I messaged customer service they said they were trying to contact my vet to get the prescription. So what’s the point of paying to see a vet on their platform? Now my vet can’t see us until the 17th. So I should have just made an appointment with our vet here. It would have been faster. I even asked the vet and he wrote “nothing I can do it looks filled on my end.” So yeh now I’m out $70 no prescriptions and still have a puppy with worms. Thanks Dutch!
