I have contacted both companies (email, phone call) and discussed I would not be renewing my pet's insurance contract. The renewal date was January 3rd. Today, Odie emails me saying that they've successfully processed the monthly premium. Any tips on how I can get my money back and ensure that Odie does not harass my family/fradulently take my money? I'm very upset, as I had done my due diligence in communicating that I would not be renewing my insurance policy with them. On an additional note-- This left a very bad impression on me, and I will not be recommending Odie to anyone on this reddit forum. Thank you.

Is it even legal for Healthy Paws pet insurance to increase premiums at almost 200% in CA? This is outrageously high!! Anyone experiencing the same? #healthypawspetinsurance

I have two cats, Fox and Ollie. They are brothers and turn four in September. I got Nationwide Pet Insurance in July 2024 for the first time. I did not notice at the time, but their plans didn't match. Fox's was $189 for the year, Ollie was $190. I called to change the renewal policy so it was the same, and to add Behavioral coverage. I wanted to match Ollie's coverage to Fox's, add behavioral. Fox's renewal, with NO CHANGES, increases by $125/YEAR in July. The woman on the phone said it's "because he is a year older." Lady, he will be FOUR this year. FOUR. Current: $19/mo > $29/mo So, recommendations? They are two boys, indoor, vaccines up to date but no recent vet visit. I'm mildly concerned Ollie has a behavioral issue but no diagnosis and running off vibes and tiktok diagnosis, not real doctors. I am going to wait to take him to the vet about this until I have the right insurance policy JIC, but SHOULD I even have cat insurance?!?! Otherwise, they're two healthy young cats. Indoor. Thoughts?

For those of you with Pets Best, how long does it usually take for them to finish reviewing a claim? I feel like they are taking forever lately.

Has anybody been able to buy one or get a quote. I am trying and while insurance companies website mention they exist - I am not able to get a quote and the call center agents are equally clueless. Edit - Geico Licensed Insurance Agent said that they are not issuing any NNO (Named Non Owner) Policy currently. So lets see how easy it is to get one.

I currently have MetLife Pet Illness and Injury, but with one minor shoulder injury - maxed out my benefits after one visit. As my baby gets older - I want to make sure I have the best coverage for him - especially with ortho treatments ( ie. PRP injections) Any Recommendations would be very appreciated !

I’m going insane trying to get my dental benefits sorted out with Cobra. I paid my Cobra on 3/8 (first month) and MetLife made my plan active, backdated to 3/1. On 3/12 it was canceled again. 3/15 active again. 3/17 canceled again - MetLife said call Cobra servicer. Servicer sent in a reinstatement and it was active again on 3/19. I log in today and it’s cancelled 3/24 AGAIN. I paid for a month of benefits and I haven’t even been able to use them. MetLife acts like it’s the servicers fault. Cobra just sends in reinstatement notice. Repeat. What do I do in this situation? I have oral surgery in a month and god only knows if it’ll be active or MetLife will decide to cancel it on that day. How do I go about escalating this?

I’m looking for auto insurance but I keep getting ridiculous monthly quotes from $700 to $900. I’m a 2nd year college student, 20 years old had my license since I was 18, no accidents. I don’t have any car under my name, but i would be trying to get an old mercedes insured which is considered a “sports” car (family car they don’t use) for some reason. I am currently living with my parents, last time i called, progressive started charging my parents for me to NOT drive, to be an excluded driver. Which was crazy to me. I had to call and tell them I moved address. I tried getting a quote using a fake address saying I live with a friend but they started naming people in said address and asking for their DOBs (which i also read was fraudish?). I really don’t know what to do, i need to commute to school full time, but money is tight with classes, any advice ? Thanks !
