I pay more just having the insurance than I do with any type of reimbursements. Recently had a $700+ vet bill for Wellness and Vaccines, I pay for a plan that helps cover these costs. I got $50 back. Shop around, I wouldn’t recommend. On top of that ridiculous refund the process took even longer than usual only to get that measly amount back.

Tried to say diarrhea from a year prior from a flu bug was a pre-existing condition so then anything where the stomach was involved (basically any virus has diarrhea!) wouldn’t be covered! So when I ended up in the ER a year later from my dog ingesting something that caused him to vomit and have diarrhea, they wouldn’t cover any of it saying it was pre-existing!!! Waste of money! I’ve had plenty of dog insurances over the years and this one is truly the worst

Avoid Prudent Pet Insurance at all costs. After multiple denied claims—many without valid reason—I tried reaching out in a respectful, constructive manner, only to receive dismissive, borderline sarcastic responses. It feels like their claims team is trained to deny as much as possible, regardless of merit. The final straw? They confused my pets’ medical histories, attributing ear and skin issues to the wrong one, then told me not to bother contacting my vet because “it wouldn’t matter.” That’s unacceptable. I’ve since reported them to my state’s Insurance Commissioner, filed a complaint with the BBB, and will be initiating a credit card chargeback. They also denied coverage for a routine fecal exam clearly listed in my Wellness plan—and then claimed I had a lower-tier plan, even though I’ve been paying for the medium level all along. At this point, I’d rather put $100/month into a savings account for future vet bills than keep paying premiums to a company that doesn’t deliver on its promises.

I just went to file my first claim and was very disappointed to learn I had only 60 days to submit claims. Somehow I missed this in the initial registration -- probably because I was exhausted from dealing with a new puppy.

The constant phone calls I received made me run away. I checked out your page and then wanted to talk about it with my spouse before signing up. I received 3 phone calls while at work the same afternoon. After that I had no desire to work with Embrace, but my dog got a baby carrot stuck in her esophagus. $1800 later, I signed up for Embrace.

I was muscled into Fetch by the Charleston Animal Society.No waiting period was the kicker, and I wanted my new best friend to be covered. Now I just want my money back.I submitted 1 claim to Fetch. Not only was the whole thing denied despite marketing that they cover all these preventative/wellness visits etc. Further, Fetch did not even apply the 310.36 to my deductible. Liars and scammers. DO Not get suckered in no matter who tells you what.

UPDATE: I sent in the medical records for the appeal, now it's taking forever and "under review." Been on phone now over an hour between overseas and US, now being transferred to a supervisor. Very frustrated! ***** Used to be a super great company! US based agents, picked up on third ring. Very nice folks. Really it was the only insurance company I didn't have to argue with. That was then. Now it's overseas customer service, no idea what they are doing. I submitted a claim, they did not pay for blood work even though my dog was sick and should have been covered. I just requested and got transferred to US agent. She said my account terminated 2 years ago for a dog that passed away. I said no I have a current account with a new dog after that. She can't find account. Now I'm on permahold to talk to supervisor. I thought I bet Healthy Paws got bought out, sure enough Chubb bought company in July 2024. Now they are just as bad as any other insurance company. Very sad.

Absolutely terrible!!!! Paying over $60 for my pet just to be denied every single claim without talking to me or looking into it, just sending a message and reffering to a policy that doesn't apply to all listed conditions/reasons for the visit. And the "pre existing condition" doesn't even apply for his recent visit. This is crazy, my girlfriend is paying half the amount and is getting her pet covered at another insurance comapany. I just canceled with them and will be disputing their claims. What am I paying you for if you don't care about my pet nor help cover anything??? I'm currently in the Airforce serving this country and you're just stealing my hard earned money.

I'm paying them every month USD 89, and one time I went to see a doctor since my dog was vomiting and had severe diarrhea, and almost a month after, I'm still fighting with them to get my submitted claim back. They always ask for more and more documents. I have submitted everything I have, and still no process, so frustrating to chase after you. Lost a bunch of money and wasted time, and nerves. It's just not worth it! Canceling my policy right now!
