Embrace - I spoke with an insurance lady on the…
I spoke with an insurance lady on the phone. She was very eager to get my business. And was very energetic and excited and gave me a lot of information. I signed up. Then I tried to set up my account and I was having a hard time, I called her and asked her to call me back and I never heard back from her. I found that disappointing.
Trupanion - Don’t waste your money—look at Healthy…
Don’t waste your money—look at Healthy Paws. They have massive premium increases (50% or more in a year). They tell you they cover 90% with a $200 deductible, but they also have a ton of exclusions, including the office visit. How many times have I submitted $650 worth of receipts, and each time they reimburse around $130? I pay $210 a month vs. $53 with Healthy Paws.
**** To your response: At this point, there’s not much to discuss. Your monthly premium is significantly higher—$210 compared to $53 with Healthy Paws—and you only cover 20% of the bill. There are reasons and results and no one cares about the reasons.
Embrace - False advertising. Waiting period for Ortho injuries including breaks
I read the entire policy and website before signing up. I even read their sample policy. After signing up, I tried to get a copy of the orthopedic report card only to find out that they no longer accept it despite what the website and policy state. Rest assured I'll be filing a lawsuit if something happens to my dog before I can switch him to a better company. If they can't even follow their own policy or website, you definitely can't trust these guys. I'll be filing a bbb complaint as well. Go elsewhere.
Embrace - Didn't have a problem with the…
Didn't have a problem with the insurance, but clear they want to give you the best price possible only initially as my monthly price went up 65% (nothing out of the ordinary for my pup). They couldn't provide me with any specific reasons over the phone, so I've obtained plenty of other quotes from companies and will change. Not sure I'd recommend, maybe for the first year!
ASPCA - I have been trying to submit a claim…
I have been trying to submit a claim for the last three months. The invoice and the notes from the veterinarian was submitted multiple times. They continue to deny it, despite all the documentation that they claim they do not have although I have evidence that I have submitted it and copies for the same. They are extremely inefficient. I plan on discontinuing this insurance as I think it is a hoax.
Spot - ABSOLUTELY SCAM OF A COMPANY
ABSOLUTELY SCAM OF A COMPANY! THEY TAKE YOUR MONTHLY PAYMENTS AND DENY EVERY CLAIM!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, TOO!! DO NOT BUY! GO READ BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU REVIEWS!! BUYER BEWARE!! WORST COMPANY EVER! MAKE SURE YOU GET A CONFIRMATION OF CANCELATION OR THEY WILL KEEP CHARGING YOU!!
Spot - I pay around $60 a month
I pay around $60 a month, his bill for vaccines was $142 but was only reimbursed $50. Basically only 1 and a haf of the vaccines was paid for. I spend more money then they reimbursement.
Healthy Paws - I have paid for YEARS with ridiculous…
I have paid for YEARS with ridiculous increasing premiums each year. When it's time to reimburse us $400 they keep saying they aren't getting all the info from our vet. Dog was in 2 days in a row and they say they only have info for 1 of the days. The vet sent it all at once, multiple times.
I told them never mind and that I was planning on cancelling the policy. Next thing I know they cancelled it themselves. NEVER AGAIN with this company.
Nationwide - The rep hung up on me
The representative hung up on me. I called to ask about insurance for my snake who HAD a respiratory infection, which has since been resolved. He told me it counts as a pre-existing condition and I would not be able to submit a claim for a respiratory infection for six months, but tried to get me to sign up anyway for "other possible reasons to go to the vet". When I explained that there were no other reasons I'd need to take my snake to the vet, and asked what the point would be in signing up now, rather than waiting six months, he hung up on me.
Fetch Canada - Customer service is no more it’s a historical item
I just tried to cancel my ageing elderly cats policy, as the access for the yearly policy is more than end of life procedures would be. Rang first thing in the morning. That’s the only way you can do things over the phone and then was greeted with a hard pressure hostility attitude from the customer service representative.
I don’t know what to say other than I think customer service is dead in this day and age and especially with fetch because this will be the second set of bad interactions I’ve had with the company.
I have four pets insured via them and I’m considering removing all my policies now.
When somebody asks you repeatedly to just cancel the policy, please just cancel the policy to argue with a customer is not customer service. To add stress levels to an elderly person is not customer service.
