Have an issue with your insurance?
Let everyone know!
Insurance companies are constantly reviewing us. Are we too old? Do we live in the wrong place? Is our credit score high enough? Well, now it's time to turn the tables. Do you charge too much? Will you pay my claim quickly? Is your coverage worse than it seems? We can review you too.
Waggy Pet - Their ESA letter 100% guarantee is a lie
Their ESA letter does not hold up to scrutiny. The therapist who writes it has a legit license but has a voice mail greeting that says she doesn’t speak to landlords and any requests must be done through “your portal”
Fetch Pet - Annual Premium Increases
Every year, Fetch will raise your premium, increase your deductible and reduce the reimbursement rate. STAY AWAY!!!!
Trupanion - Expensive but good in a jam

We have a French bulldog named Hugo and we scheduled him for surgery for his brachycephalic syndrome and we got a reply from Trupanion that they will not cover his surgery
Spot Pet Insurance - Spot Pet Insurence is a scam
Spot Pet Insurence is a scam. They will not pay for the cost seeing with the vet which you already paid out of pocket. I got the plan accident and illness already 9 months and my two cats are 13 months now. Last 2 weeks ago one of my cat look hard to use litter box and he changed behavior using litter box, so i went to a vet and follow the procedures a vet need to know what happen to him. Then I called the spot customer service for how to claim a bill and she show me how to claim, but also she told me for the future before you payout you have to claim estimate bills first then after they approved i can do process. I was never heard like it before. In my case this is the cat not dog, as long as they are healthy i am not seeing the vet. After claim filled a week later spot asked for the medical record that my cats are not even born date. I called them and told them about it and to file what ever i have. Then I reclaim again with my cat very first vaccine that my breeder took, other than that i do not update any more because they are kitten and healthy. Then they said not eligible of the whole invoice of claim. I called spot and they keep asking vaccine record that i do not have. I can even understand that they do not want to pay total invoice but should be cover for some of them like seeing the vet cost or some medication. I just write about this to understand how they are handling on claiming process. They are just try to find a reasons to not pay back. Also what they sale about coverage and no worry about cost at the beginning are all lie and beware for it. What i paid 9 months insurence $114.61 for both cats doesn’t even cover a penny of first claim. I will end with them.
Pet Insurance - Relationship with company absolutely ruined!
On behalf of my family: 10+ years of using their services can be erased by one piece of paper mail that you never received stating that they would stop the specific coverage/plan type in your state. No email, no messages on our account, just a sudden "expired" in the middle of the only medical emergency my cat has ever had. And now, they are denying total and any coverage of her because they now consider her medical emergency to be "pre-existing" when they made me reapply as if I were an entirely new customer, despite having my entire old record showing that this only began occurring in the last two months! No option to grandfather in, no sympathy, no accountability for the lack of communication! So now I have no coverage at all. 8 pets and over a decade of loyalty to this company were completely erased by their inability to send anything more than a piece of snail mail to notify me of these changes, even though I had signed up to be paperless!! Completely unacceptable in this day and age of technology, and how untrustworthy and backhanded of a company to treat their long-time customers this way.
Dutch Pet Insurance - No show fee
Was charged up front to see the vet and I tried to connect to the zoom call five minutes prior and was having troubles, and while waiting for customer service to help by 5:01 was sent a no fee. Absolutely do not recommend this scam
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - Nightmare Filing First Claim
I filed my first claim for healthy paws pet insurance over a year after I enrolled my new dog. Throughout the entire time I have owned him, I have been diligent in submitting proof of soap notes from previous vet visits (one over a year before I submitted a claim and the other several months before). I also submitted proof of vaccinations as well as negative parasite tests. When Beau injured his leg and needed an xray, I filed my first claim. I was then told that there needed to be more documentation. I emailed back said documentation, but figured I should also call for good measure. The customer service department was unable to tell me what documents they had previously received. (I will note that any time I had submitted documentation I received an automated email). When I asked if I could speak to anyone who worked in the claims department I was told there was no phone number, and the only way to contact them was via email. When I asked for that email, I was given the general customer service email that can be found on the website… so not anyone linked to claims. All emails I have sent have only been answered with automated responses. When I went back and totaled up how much I had spent on this dog insurance service, I was dismayed to find that had I simply put the same amount of money to the side I would have been able to cover my dogs treatment. I think that this company goes out of their way to make contacting them difficult, and receiving information regarding you claim impossible. I hope someone reads this review and saves themselves the money or finds another honest insurance company that will actually cover new injuries.
