Have an issue with your insurance?
Let everyone know!
Insurance companies are constantly reviewing us. Are we too old? Do we live in the wrong place? Is our credit score high enough? Well, now it's time to turn the tables. Do you charge too much? Will you pay my claim quickly? Is your coverage worse than it seems? We can review you too.
Pet Insurance - Useless money grubbing
Dollars come first before pets
Spot Pet Insurance - It is really hard to get any payment…
It is really hard to get any payment from the insurance. If I could I would give 0 stars to this particular company. I deeply regret I chose Spot Pet Insurance for my cat and spent tons of money on monthly payment instead of paying out of the pocket in the emergency case.
Fetch Pet - Do not trust this company
Do not trust this company. I don’t think those who got $20,000, $15,000, etc. reimbursements do not exist.
ASPCA Pet Insurance - I wasted my money on this insurance
I wasted my money on this insurance, higher deductibles and the claim process is lengthy and no matter how many documents you provide it never gets approved. When you contact them they ask you to send additional documents to their hartvillegroup email and nobody responds. Never again and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - Its not a closed claim until you PAY ME.
I put in a claim on March 14 and it had been over a year since my last claim. I felt it was taking so long and I never saw a direct deposit in my account, so I got online and saw that the claim had processed and they marked it "closed", however, they never paid me $279.20, which shows the amount I am due. I looked at my account and saw that somehow my direct deposit was not listed in my portal account, so I put it back in and called Healthy Paws to let them know, explained what happened and told them I put my direct deposit info back in the system. It is now May 19th and I called again TODAY, and they told me it should take 10 days from the first time I called and that I should be paid by May 23rd. Seems like a very long time since direct deposit is a very quick thing to correct. I don't have a lot of patience for insurance companies that would cancel me in an instant if I didn't pay my bill, but take their darn sweet time when they have to PAY ME.
ASPCA Pet Insurance - If there were an option to receive ZERO…
If there were an option to receive ZERO stars I would select that option. Denies claims. Of one claim that was processed on 3/17/2025 payment has not yet been received as of 5/19/25. False advertising when it says payment received within 7-10 business days. Will be filing a formal complaint with the insurance board.
Lemonade - STAY AWAY FROM LEMONADE INSURANCE!
Stay away from this insurance company! After the ordeal we have had with this company I checked them out online and they have many many class action suits against them , a bunch of which have already paid out millions to their customers. My husband and I had homeowners insurance with Lemonade. We had problems with sewage going into our basement. It was extremely hard to contact anyone as they use customer service in other countries, and some could not understand English that well. When I was finally able to put a claim in. we received an email from our adjuster, Jackie, who stated we could call her. It took 2 two weeks of emails and phone messages with no replies. Finally Jackie called and I explained the situation. I then found out that they purposely do not contact you so they can say you have to report this problem within seven days of when it happened or Lemonade can’t pay for any damages. It took so long for them to contact me that of course the issue happened a month prior to them communicating with me. Also, our plumber came a couple of times and said we would have to dig up our property to put new pipes in. Of course, a couple of weeks went by due to us trying to fix the situation with our plumber. Also, truthfully, there was an issue with our emails not getting to her but I kept calling Jackie and leaving messages. I was not allowed to speak with a supervisor. Jackie finally called me to say that seven days have passed so they could not do anything to help us. I told her I had been emailing and leaving messages and she said I did not get your emails or any messages at all. She said to me, “I never got any phone calls from you.” Then I told her, Jackie, we both know that smart phones keep records of who you call, who made the call and how long the call is. She then became irate saying that she makes a lot of phone calls back to back and doesn’t have time to answer phone calls. She’s such a liar and there is no one else I could speak to and let them know of the issues I was having with Jackie. I also asked her to give me the paragraph number from our policy that states our claim had to be within seven days of the start of the problem because I had looked at our policy and there was nothing that said that. Well, of course, Jackie could not substantiate her lie of the seven day issue. She then sent a copy of some other verbiage from our policy that had nothing to do with the seven day lie. Shortly after declining our claim, Lemonade sent us a letter of non-renewal. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! You pay for no appropriate service after years of being a good customer and paying all bills on time!
Pet Insurance - Unexpected coverage drop
My coverage was dropped 40% due to "discontinuing my current plan" that I have had for years. I was told the plan had subscribed to didn't exist anymore and I couldn't be grandfathered in and no other plans existed unless I cancelled and reapplied in which I would be denied coverage due to pre-existing conditions. I did add another dog to my plan before I found this out, and she is on a different plan with 30% more coverage than my dog, who was just dropped by 40% coverage. So another plan does exist, but I'm not eligible for it even though it's still less than the plan I was on for years. I used to recommend Nationwide to all of my animal contacts and through my network of training, rescue, adoption, Veterinary, grooming and shelter clients.
Pet Insurance - No longer a great insurance as of 2024
If you are shopping for pet insurance. Be aware of the age of the reviews you are looking at. I have been a Nationwide pet insurance customer for 8+ years, and was always recommending NW because they really helped me take care of my pet through the years, claims were easy, and I had peace of mind if anything ever went wrong.
