Nationwide - Nationwide for the money not your pet
We have been a member for over 5 years. Minimal increases over the years. I was just informed they are cancelling the My Pet Protection Plan to replace with My Pet Protection Choice. This is less coverage for a whopping 300%+ increase from $77 a month to $316.70 PER MONTH. My dog is 12 years old. I now have to find new insurance as a result. Nationwide will give you a great first experience and then screw you when your dog gets older. They could care less about your dog.
Fetch Canada - Buyer beware!
I was surprised and dismayed to find out Fetch won't cover orthopedic conditions until 180 days after the inception date. I thought the waiting period was 15 days and didn't know there were different waiting periods for different conditions.
I found out today that another well-known pet insurance company only has a 30 day waiting period for orthopedic conditions.
I am writing this review so other pet parents know what to look at when considering pet insurance.

Not completely clear to me when the coverage starts and how to file a claim.
Healthy Paws - Would not recommend - they will more than double your monthly premiums
We have been with Healthy Paws since 2019. My 6 year olds monthly premium is about $67 (increasing to $87 soon). My 8 year olds monthly premium is $87 and they’re increasing it to $207. He has had very minor issues this entire time and only a few claims. This is not right and it’s not okay. We currently pay $154 a month total and it’s increasing to $300 a month total. There is absolutely no reason why my 8 year olds premium should more than double. Again, this is not right or okay. We have been customers since 2019 and I can’t believe a company would treat customers this way.
EDIT - I have already sent three emails to discuss this with no response.
Healthy Paws - Crummy Customer Service.
I just got off the phone with Healthy Paws, the pet insurance company that takes the payment every month and doesn't give a whit about claims. Paul Morrisette, whoever you are, you have not bothered to address a problem with a claim I sent in. Then when I notified you that you addressed one invoice out of the three submitted, did you get back to me. Really crummy customer service. I have never used the insurance, just paid the monthly bill for years. Then, when I do submit bills, nothing from you.

I don’t like that it takes too long to get reimbursed. It seems to take much longer lately.
Embrace - First of all I have 2 claims on hold…
First of all I have 2 claims on hold for a month even though my vet said they sent medical Hx for over a week now.
Secondly they were trying to contact a vet I don't use for over 3 years. When they claim team said they need medical Hx for the past year .
I have sent many emails and no answer. Costumer services is getting worse and worse.
Considering moving to another insurance because there is no communication at all.

Pets Best - Very disappointed with this insurance…
Very disappointed with this insurance provider. My claim was unfairly denied, and I did not receive the support I expected. I’ve canceled my policy and will be switching to a different company. Would not recommend
Fetch - Extremely disappointed
After losing my last dog, I wanted to try a new pet insurance. I was recommended Fetch by a friend. I selected the 90/10 coinsurance with a $100 deductible, with the understanding that my premium would be higher. The first year, my dog was neutered and I requested an X-ray of his tail due to excessive biting and chasing of his tail. I skimmed the renewal but did not read it in full. After my dog’s first visit to receive his inoculations, I submitted the claims and it said this covered $50 of my $500 deductible. I called and told them that this was not the plan I signed up for. I was told that due to my excess vet visits in his first year, they changed my plan. I asked if this means they could eventually drop me. The response was “it’s a shared risk”. I am completely disgusted with them and will be switching back to the plan my first dog was with. My dog did not have excessive visits and the fact that they could just drop you is completely unacceptable. So in the future, if God forbid, something happens to my dog, they will drop me because he got sick? And another company won’t accept my dog due to underwriting? With my last dog and last carrier, they increased my premium annually, but they were there for me for the entirety of her life.
