Have an issue with your insurance?
Let everyone know!
Insurance companies are constantly reviewing us. Are we too old? Do we live in the wrong place? Is our credit score high enough? Well, now it's time to turn the tables. Do you charge too much? Will you pay my claim quickly? Is your coverage worse than it seems? We can review you too.
Trupanion - A Zero Rating
Update June 15:
Trupanion - Trupanion is not longer the company they used to be!Do NOT use this company
Do NOT use this company. Once a great company, no longer! We have had insurance with them for over 12 years and our dog was diagnosed with periodontal disease years ago and they said, no worries they will never use a diagnosis to increase your rates or not cover you in the future BUT guess what, now that she needs surgery they will not cover her costs of between $4k-6K (don't even get me started on the Vet pricing) because we did not have her teeth cleaning completed within 3 months of her pet visit. Had no idea, I advised them that our Vet left the practice and we just found another so missed out by 4 months. Does not matter, what the circumstances are, sorry!
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - I have this insurance for my 2 pets
I have this insurance for my 2 pets, a cat and a dog for 5 years. I started paying $67 for both. Last year or year before the monthly payment increased to $88 for both, and I agreed to it because I thought it happened after we did submit claims after my dog's surgery. But now, only 1 or 2 years after, after I didn't submit any claims, they increased it to $125, which is almost 50% increase! It is insane ! They offer other options which you will need to pay insurance AND deductible not $250 that I have now, but %500 or even %1000. Before it happened I did recommend this insurance for everyone, but now I can say that it is unfair, increase should not effect all customers, it may affect those who did submit claims, even not all of them, only if it was a lot. How much we will pay in a few years, like for car insurance, $ 700 ?????
Trupanion - Would rather train my pets to do taxes than deal with them again.
They raised my premium, upped my deductible, and paid out less — it’s like the reverse lottery! Two pets, two useless claims. I pay them monthly so they can politely decline to help. 10/10 regret. Would rather train my pets to do taxes than deal with them again.
Pet Insurance - I canceled before they approved add…
I canceled before they approved add haven’t received anything refund yet
ManyPets - everything is easy and quick
everything is easy and quick, love many pet but it is said not continuous anymore
Dutch Pet Insurance - Felt like a bait and switch
My wife signed up because there was a screen that said they could help us with our dog ellie. Then once she signed up for one month, it said there are no vets available. We tried to cancel and it wouldn't let us. It says we made a 3 month commitment which we DID NOT see.

Healthy Paws Pet Insurance - Unless you sign up at birth don’t bother
As a physician I don’t trust health insurance policies to begin with. The pet insurance industry is not nearly as regulated as human insurance so it can be rife with dishonesty and no one cares. This is one of those policies. If you do not get insurance the minute your pet is born, do not bother getting insurance. First they offer you no verbiage of the policy when you sign up. Simply put in your dogs age, breed, and decide how much you would want them to pay if an injury happens. Then start paying your premium. They also don’t send you a written copy of the supposed policy you signed up for. When there is a problem that is common amongst your breed I guarantee it won’t be covered. ACL repair one side only and if your dog already tore one side they will never cover that on any other limb. That goes for anything else that can occur in more than one area. Think tooth abscess, knee dislocation, eye problems, etc… Despite, the fact that they say everything is covered it is not. The policy is in the legal jargon you would expect, completely indecipherable by the regular person. Once again you’ve never been provided a copy of this policy but when they don’t want to pay for something, they will send you a copy of page 4, 6, etc… that you never saw. Furthermore, it won’t even say what they say it does, its so nonspecific and arbitrary that it could be applied to anything. Maybe just maybe this insurance will cover if your dog is hit by a car. However, if a vet has ever jotted down that your dog ran in the street in the past… they will not cover it.
Pet Insurance - 14 Day Wait Period Never Explained
Former client of Nationwide until our dogs passed. Just signed up for our newest pup this AM after speaking with an agent a few weeks back and found out there is a 14 day wait period till the policy takes effect. Never was told that and couldn't get the policy till we picked up the dog. Thinking of cancelling. Not the best CS as I remember. NWPI is slipping and not happy.
