Pets Best - Reimbursement too long
Reimbursement took a while to get to me. Everytime i would submit a document, i would wait several days, without knowing if they were fine or not. When i finally received word back, some of the documents were not submitted correctly or they needed additional information which would delay the processes. When I submitted everything correctly, they would take an additional 10 days for their regular processes.
MetLife - Poor feedback

Telling me I exceeded limits when my insurance is supposed to be unlimited
Pets Best - do your homework before purchasing
Updating from a 2 to a 1..... they. are. awful...Set-up and payment process fairly easy. However, once you file a claim - extreme patience is needed. They can take your money easily - but it's completely different when it's time for them to pay. Considering changing companies.
Embrace - Just like any other insurance company…
Just like any other insurance company out there. “We‘ll cover the small stuff.”. God forbid your furbaby gets a rare disease like ours did. They just went “Sorry! It’s now not covered by our policy!”
Nationwide - Purchased plan 3 weeks prior to pet…
Purchased plan 3 weeks prior to pet required vet visit due to respiratory infection and arthritis inflammation treatment. Representative advised me vet visits would be covered. Vet examination, xray, and 3 medications. Cost was 544.49. And Nationwide covered 0 cost, nothing. Greatly disappointed buyers beware!
Nationwide - Web site navigation to items covered…
Web site navigation to items covered and items excluded is difficult. Exclusion lists have sub pages that do not complete rendering and leave bottom half of page not accessible.
Coverage start date and underwriting review and late notifications in the process after purchase. Misleading.
Fetch - Everything is pre-existing to this company!
I’d used Petplan prior to Fetch buy-out/merger. My golden doodle needed a couple of teeth removed. Claim was paid. I continued getting my dog’s teeth cleaned but her teeth are just a problem. At one point years ago, the vet mentioned that she had signs of gingivitis. BECAUSE of that, she is now and forever considered to have pre-existing dental disease (even though in 2021 prior to that), she underwent dental surgery that was reimbursed by Petplan.. It’s as though they combed through every vet note they could find to make sure she can never be covered for dental surgery again. Their monthly coverage continues to increase without alerting the customer. This is so frustrating. Please don’t mention one word about a tremor or twitch. If they goes into the vet’s notes, your pet will forever have pre-existing everything.
Pets Best - Save your money
Pet's Best never reimburses me, though my claims are filed properly for covered conditions. I do not recommend Pet's Best insurance.
Embrace - I previously had pet insurance through…
I previously had pet insurance through Nationwide. The only reason I switched was due to Embraces relationship with USAA. After the first claim I received an email stating they were doing a health history check on my dog. Shortly after I received an email with a list of things they won’t cover. Many of these things were temporary in nature, like diarrhea. It would be like my insurance saying you had a cold six months ago, we won’t cover anything related to a cold for 1 year. Buyer beware. They are polite. That’s about it. I should have never left Nationwide.
Healthy Paws - Rates Increase Every Year!!
We have had Healthy Paws Pet Insurance for our mini Goldendoodle since she was a puppy eight years ago. At that time we thought we were getting a good rate. Much to our dismay, they raise the annual premium almost yearly. Each year we are forced to lower our reimbursement percentage and increase the yearly out of pocket amount, We are now paying almost three times our original monthly payment. The company explained that there were too many claims from our state forcing the rates to go up. In my opinion this us nothing more than a bait and switch racket. Beware of getting sucked into this scam.
