Have an issue with your insurance?
Let everyone know!
Insurance companies are constantly reviewing us. Are we too old? Do we live in the wrong place? Is our credit score high enough? Well, now it's time to turn the tables. Do you charge too much? Will you pay my claim quickly? Is your coverage worse than it seems? We can review you too.

Fetch - Not a great experience with these guys…
Not a great experience with these guys unfortunately. The first claim we made took 5 weeks to process. All communication was restricted to the app. Price was increased by 15% after 5 months. The PDS (Product Disclosure Statement) is not available in .pdf and only on the app. Additionally the app PDS does not share the details of the $ coverage for each aillment (i.e ticks), making it difficult to compare to alternative insurance providers. I've switched to Budget Direct who were significantly cheaper, provide a detailed PDS in .pdf via email and have both an app chat and call centre for any claims/questions.
Nationwide - Provide better service
I had already got a quote and had to request a second quote which was higher than my first. In addition I have not received any new information on if it was approved or not
Trupanion - you cover nothing
you cover nothing
MetLife - 🚨 PUBLIC CALL-OUT: MetLife Pet Insurance 🚨
Another month, another denied claim. Same bullshit. Same excuses. Same broken system. At this point, MetLife isn’t just incompetent—they’re predatory.
For YEARS I’ve submitted the same vet documentation. It’s on file. It’s highlighted. It couldn’t be clearer if it were carved in stone. And yet, MetLife still manages to screw it up. Every. Single. Month. The excuses? Pathetic. “New staff.” “System issues.” “Someone forgot to read.” Give me a break. If any of us did our jobs this badly, we’d be fired on the spot. But at MetLife, this isn’t a mistake—it’s the business model.
Let’s be real: MetLife Pet Insurance is a scam. Their “service” is a joke, their systems are garbage, and their customer support is useless. They trap you with pre-existing condition clauses, then nickel-and-dime you while denying legitimate claims. They profit off failure, and they do it shamelessly.
If you’re even thinking about MetLife Pet Insurance, take this as your warning: don’t. They don’t deserve your money, your trust, or the right to call what they do “insurance.” As soon as I find a provider that doesn’t treat customers like garbage, I’m gone.
Fix this, MetLife—or don’t. Either way, I’m done being polite. You’ve burned the bridge, and I won’t be silent anymore.
MetLife - April 2024 Claim Still Pending
We still have a claim from April for a puppy spay. We did not get all the money back e have coming to us. We called and spoke with CS numerous times, but it is still there over a year later.
Trupanion - Premiums going up and service going…
Premiums going up and service going down. Incoherent denials. Even my vet said she is not happy with trupanion these days.
ASPCA - This insurance company is horrible
This insurance company is horrible. I submitted a claim for a sore right leg on my dog, they declined it do to a prior injury. Absolutely false.
They will look for reasons to not pay out. Take my advice, when it comes to your best friends health and the cost of treatments, stay away, no one deserves this aggrivation
Embrace - A longong wait on phone before I received help. And difficult to submit my claim this time
Hire more people so the wait on the phone isn't soooo long.
MetLife - It takes way too long to get reimbursed!
It takes way too long to get reimbursed!
Trupanion - Trupanion increased our prices 158%
Our costs have skyrocketed 158% since we started with Trupanion 10 years ago. This is a breach of trust from the agreement we entered into and we are beyond disappointed in this from a financial and ethical standpoint.
Edited to add:
Our last increase was 38%. I have reached out to them and asked for rationale, in writing, regarding what could possibly cause this drastic increase (especially since it was less than 2 months after, conveniently, our youngest dog entered the "senior dog" age bracket, meaning switching policies and/or insurance carriers would be very costly.) They have not given us any rationale, but routinely reply to public comments asking us to contact their customer care number, which is just an avenue for their "care team" to offer us the option to cancel our policies. I wish I would've known this before I chose them as insurers of our 2 beloved pups.
