I liked to get insurance for two puppies but after 8 days I got charged as a same price for one of my pets. I requested to cancel the order they said sure but they charged me.

I have both illness and wellness plan. I have had nothing but difficulty and denial for simple wellness claims. Not to mention extremely long turn around times for simple wellness claims. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I’m a new pet owner December 2024 and wanted to do the right thing and get insurance so I did in January of this year but I don’t recall the representative telling me I needed to wait 15 days before the policy went into effect long story short I took my dog to the vet before the 15 days they said she has allergies so nothing pertaining to her allergies is covered because I guess it’s considered preexisting if I’ve never had a pet or insurance how was I supposed to know she had allergies so to me it seems like pet insurance is a scam and I’m more than likely will cancel my policy because she has to get a shot once a month and since I have to pay upfront why do I need the insurance?

Do NOT Buy Insurance from Pets Best!!!!! They're Nothing But Thieves!!!!! My pup had an upset tummy and I brought her to the vet and go figure PetsBest denied my claim saying a vet visit isn't covered. I will be canceling my policy after speaking with their claims department tomorrow. Don't waste your money like I did!!!!!!!

The policy is what we’re looking for. I paid the required 2 month cost. It’s been a week and I don’t know if we are approved or not. So I can’t really say much about our experience. Maybe better communication is needed.

No communication of any substance regarding the claim. A month later all I've gotten is an email 3 weeks ago that they're reviewing the claim and don't need any additional info and a request to answer a survey. Are they going to cover the interest on my credit card that's adding up?

The premium rate jumps when your pet turns 9, it more than doubles. I’d heard warnings from others about this, and unfortunately it is true. If your pet has any preexisting conditions you feel trapped. While you can adjust your deductible and reimbursement percentage, the increase is so steep you have to minimize your coverage to get to a reasonable increase. For a 15% increase I’d have to move to $1,000 deductible with 50% reimbursement. There are many more options out there for pet insurance which won’t double/triple/quadruple (when your pet is 12) your premium. If only I’d done more research before purchasing. This insurance is fine unless your pet ages. Which is what we all want, for our besties to live very long happy lives. My best advice is to research other pet insurances, and ask others with the insurance if they received huge rate increases when their pet turned 9+.

They are Thieves!!!!! Do Not Waste Your Money. My dog had an upset tummy and I brought her to the vet. First time they denied her claim saying they needed more records which I sent. 2-3 Weeks later I received an email saying they denied her claim and that the service was not covered. I will be canceling my policy tomorrow!

I brought my dog to the vet because she was eating grass vomiting diarrhea constipated. Tests we taken and doctor explained that she was eating the wrong food and i received a prescription for a dog food he recommended. He also gave me medication for her intestines. It cost $650. Pets best insisted it was a wellness visit.. I told them my dog got her shots for 3 years..she's 2 years 8 months. Why would I bring her in for a wellness exam. They told me to appeal a have further evidence

This Insurance Company is determined to reduce their numbers of elderly pets by raising their rates so high- from $66 to $208 a month on my cat that had the plan since 2020 and never cost them a cent so that they are literally not affordable. Also now 5 years later when my cat has arthritis , which could be considered pre- existing condition makes finding another reasonable plan impossible to find.
