Lemonade - Waiting on a pet insurance claim now…
Waiting on a pet insurance claim now for 6 weeks, email replies are always the same, apologize for lengthy delays but I’m still waiting. I am cancelling all my policies with them and switching to a more reliable company.
ASPCA Pet Insurance - The responses I have gotten.
The responses I have gotten.. I added a pet months ago, paid for the year, did so thru the app but he is not there. I used a different email, shouldn’t be a problem, it is, I’ve called numerous times emailed numerous times only to be told it will be taken care of immediately and available in a few days, they would be in the same account….. STILL NOT ON THE SAME ACCOUNT! How difficult is it? I verified all my information and I’m so over this insurance. I can’t submit claims due to this. Look elsewhere.
Pet Insurance - It is 7 years I have Nationwide pet…
It is 7 years I have Nationwide pet insurance for my rabbits. All over the years they made an unbelievable increase of the price from $11 to $70-80 a month especially for old rabbits with $250 annual deductible, but the annual refund for everything (except wellness) was 70% of the veterinarian invoice until $10.000 per year. Well, now Nationwide replaced this policy with a very poor one: only 50% of the veterinarian invoice until $3000 annual refund for illness but they kept $250 deductible.
It's Covered - Great experience working with Briana…
Great experience working with Briana Calhoun. She was able to help me find better coverage at a better rate for my home. Covered makes it very easy to find new insurance coverage. I've tried a lot of insurance comparison tools, but Covered really takes out the guesswork and makes it a breeze.
Embrace Pet Insurance - Terrible company
Embrace has every single document on my dog since birth. I've sent them this information twice but my most recent claim has been sitting in "pending Medical records" for over three weeks. I've cancelled my dealings with them. Terrible to deal with. I've had enough. I'd give them a negative star rating if I could.
Nibbles - Easy
Was easy to use.
Spot Pet Insurance - I enrolled a new cat
I enrolled a new cat, my family, and added a plan. Long story short I received some emails and I had a lot of questions concerning how I and what process I had to go through in order to get insurance. I called several times and I kept getting a lady that did not speak English well and any question that I had. I’m sure she was reading from a manual on what she should answer. I follow spot on TikTok and sent a message and I did get a call back and the issue got taken care of. I have been a customer for I’m sure at least two years with one cat I added you guys because I feel safe with my cat having you as insurance.
Trupanion - Protection
I am new to trupanion but reviews and referrals were important and helped me decide on joining, I just would like to ad that as a senior on a limited income, reducing our rates would be appreciated and welcomed.
Fetch Pet - Fetch Reduces Coverage Based on Claim History
Fetch may seem to have excellent pet insurance coverage. The issue is at renewal. Pet insurance is not regulated like human healthcare. When Fetch renews your policy they will reduce coverage based on your claim history. This is legal. They do this very quietly. Because of pre-existing exclusions, they know you have no options if your pet has been sick. It is classic bait and switch at it's core. You sign up with them and choose your coverage level. However, if you have filed just one claim, you cannot increase your coverage later, EVER. However, they can and will decrease your coverage. My advice is to avoid Fetch because while you may be okay during the first year, they will make up for it every year thereafter. It is extremely bad business to do this to customers. They will insist we have a choice. Afterall, we can cancel coverage and/or choose another company for a pet policy. However, this "choice" is meaningingless in practice, because other pet insurers have pre-existing condition exclusion, just like they do. If you switch, any conditions your pet has already had will not be covered with a new insurer. For this reason, having the policy with Fetch, becomes the lesser of two evils. That is why how they can get away with this. Those of us with dogs who have pre-existing conditions are stuck with Fetch or can choose to have no coverage at all. They know this and take advantage of it. If I knew what I know now, I would never have chosen Fetch. EVER.
Nibbles - Application process was a breeze and…
Application process was a breeze and the pet insurance perk was a no Brainer. Hopefully I do not have to ever used it but if I do, I hope it comes in handy.
