I took time in choosing pet insurance for my dog, Rookie. I chose Spot because it had 2 different tiers. I chose the Gold tier. It covered everything i needed for Rookie. I have health insurance why shouldn't Rookie. It was a life saver.

Most importantly, their premiums are raised annually at a higher rate. At least $40-$50 more a month. I've been with them for 5 years and sorry I picked them. Unfortunately, other insurance companies will not cover pre-existing conditions even if they are minor like an ear infection. Also, their operational phone hours are short. You're lucky to reach them before they close for the day. I should have gone with Trupanion.

Spot is great, not only can you always speak to a real person, but they get right back to you regarding your claim. Payment is super easy and quick. Great pet insurance.
