Pets Best - My wellness exam was misread.I was told…
My wellness exam was misread.I was told it was read by an automated system. Still waiting on the correction. The representative was very helpful.
Embrace - If I could give zero stars
If I could give zero stars, I would. We signed up for Embrace Pet Insurance believing it would help when our dog needed medical care, instead, it’s been nothing but a nightmare.
After paying over $2,500 in vet bills (for issues Embrace was supposed to help cover), they spent months ignoring my messages and emails. They kept charging us for four full months of “coverage” before finally deciding they wouldn’t cover anything.
Our dog was diagnosed with a lipoma (a benign fatty tumor), and somehow, Embrace used that to exclude every single future dermatological condition, including cancer. To make matters worse, they even denied coverage for an acute ear infection, claiming it was related to the lipoma. That’s not only absurd, it’s unethical.
I repeatedly emailed and called, and every time they blamed “missing documents” that our vet had already sent multiple times. It’s hard not to feel like this was all just a way to squeeze more money out of us while delaying any real response.
We paid hundreds of dollars in premiums for “insurance” that did absolutely nothing. I’ve never experienced such a blatant bait-and-switch.
Save yourself the stress and heartache, do not trust Embrace Pet Insurance. They took our money, refused to communicate, and left us with thousands in bills they were supposed to help with.
Pets Best - Horrible
They deny 99% of claims. They always say pre-existing conditions, when they are not. When I first got the dog from the shelter, his first sickness they denied for pre-existing condition. I should have took that as a sign.
Trupanion - It’s okay… nothing I’d rave about
This is the more expensive pet insurance and it almost never works when I’m at the vet. I’ve had to pay first multiple times. The whole point of me getting this insurance is so it would pay upfront and then I cover my share. Plus it doesn’t cover as much as I thought.. AND they raised my monthly cost.
Embrace - Lower your prices to help people who…
Lower your prices to help people who have a limited income be able to afford pet insurance.
Fetch - I found this insurance company to be a…
I found this insurance company to be a heartless profit machine. They showed little empathy and were more focused on their bottom line than on the well-being of our pets. Overall, a disappointing experience.
Trupanion - Does tripanion properly cover serious cases?
Trupanion has been a good insurance for most of my dog's life however I am not happy with their latest coverage. My dog may have herniated a disc in his neck, and had an er visit, and two followup visits with his regular doc. Trupanion treated this as three separate incidents, charged three deductables, and denied the visit specified by the er to follow up with liver, ga6l bladder, and pancreas enzymes. This was one injury and should be treated as one injury. There was no routing doctor visit.
Embrace - Website is easy to navigate - Claims are being denied
Website is easy to navigate. Unfortunately, most of my claims are being denied because of so called pre-existing conditions. It would be nice to know what conditions, if any, will be covered going forward. Based upon my experience to date, I am paying a lot in premiums and getting almost nothing back on my claims. We need Obamacare for pets!
Spot - Minimum Coverage
The process was easy. A lot of basic things not covered.
MetLife - MetLife could’ve prevented my puppy from dying by giving advice . But , of course nobody was available to chat!
I started this policy through group insurance. My dog just had puppies today 10/09/2025 and I kept requesting for telehealth visit or chat about a NICU puppy and we needed advice to save his life being that I have no vehicle anymore . My chat kept closing after waiting about 5 minutes to even chat on multiple tries and I lost my puppy . So , thanks a lot MetLife . You guys surely know how to NOT to give HELP & COVERAGE when needed!
