Progressive - What to do about car insurance
Hey everyone! HOME HEALTH NURSES/WORKERS INPUT NEEDED
So I haven’t been offered the job yet but I have a second round (!!!) interview on Monday :) this job requires a lot of driving, with mileage reimbursement. They said I would sometimes have to drive patients to and from doctors appointments and/or school (I’m a nurse, I would be a field case manager) and I’m just curious if any of you have been in this scenario. For car insurance do/did you apply for ride share option just in case?
I am debating switching ins. companies anywho, my quote from Progressive is really high.. apparently in my state (NJ) they hiked it up just in general and a few months ago I got into an accident that I’m 100% not at fault for.
Fetch Pet Insurance - What is the best long term pet insurance provider you've had?
I currently have Fetch pet insurance and they dropped my cats coverage to 50% from 80% bc they thought her account was unbalanced. They basically penalized me for using the coverage I pay for. For those of you who have had pet insurance for more than 2-3 years, which ones have you been happy with? I also, just got my new cat lemonade pet insurance but now I am having doubts. Pls helppp
Progressive - Need advice, what should I do?
Due to a pipe backing up, and magically fixing itself, our house flooded. We have been out of our house since the beginning of February. We have ASI thru progressive. Our insurance adjuster said he was going to pay the company directly for mitigation, and then send us a check so we could pay the company for restoration. We have been waiting for weeks on when and how much they are going to pay us. The only time I hear from our adjuster is when I call to let him know that our hotel stay needs to be extended. I’m trying to be patient, but I’ve been trying to reach out and can’t get in touch with him and his voicemail is full. We are living in a hotel with two dogs, and a cat. Our dogs are stressed, and ill, they have been to the vet for this. One is actually there now. We are eating fast food every night, and I just REALLY want to be home. I need to know how much they are paying so I know how much to pull out of our 401k to replace the deductible and appreciation (?), and this process takes time. I have tried to view the claim online and nothing comes up when I put in the information. What do I do from here? I want to be HOME. THANKS!
Gcredit - Gcredit 151
Gcredit 151 na utang
Hello guys.
Total is 1651 lahat from 151 na utang. I know na fault ko na hindi lagi nagchecheck ng accounts ko pero balak ko naman sana bayaran pero hindi sana ganiyan kalaking penalty na 10x sa loan ko.
I did research and saw BSP Circular No. 1133, series of 2021 which is "A total cost cap of 100 percent of total amount borrowed (applying to all interest, other fees and charges, and penalties) regardless of time the loan has been outstanding." valid po ba ito kay gcredit? Should that mean na 151 lang din dapat ang max fee (penalties, service charge and interest) na babayaran ko with my loan totalling to 302 pesos max?
USAA - Need advice regarding a claim
We were rear ended by an uninsured driver. Had to file with our provider which is USAA. Today we got the repair estimate and the car is being deemed a total loss. All it needs is a new rear bumper and an exhaust. Repairs after our deductible are $700ish. Looks like the payment to us is $280.
We're freaking out a bit. His car is older. It's a 2010 Foed Escape with 150k miles. We knew it wouldn't be worth much but $280? After searching around in our area, they are going for around $3k.
Is there anyway for us to keep it and fix it ourselves? My husband is a mechanic and can get all this fixed for less than $700 easily is there anyway to do this without getting a salvaged title? If not, what are our options with insurance coverage moving forward? We cannot afford to buy another car right now.
My insurance company - Dirt Bike accident
My son was hanging out with his girlfriend’s family when her dad pulled out a couple of dirt bikes and offered to let them drive around the block on them. No helmets, no licenses, bikes aren’t registered or even road worthy.
My son is 15 with a learners permit. It was 8pm, dark, and the bikes had no headlamps. Long story short, my son ended up running into a car, causing $7K in damages and losing part of a toe in the process.
My insurance company will not cover this because it was outside the scope of the coverage provided for the learners permit. The driver is threatening a lawsuit.
I’m angry at the girlfriend’s father. I would have never allowed him to get on that bike if I had known about it. I knew the consequences if something like this happened. In addition, the father apparently verbally told the driver he would cover the damages but he hasn’t returned my call.
Can the driver sue me? Shouldn’t she just file with her insurance company for uninsured/under insured motorist coverage?
Geico - Can an auto policy change pricing after the policy start date?
I have three policies with Geico
auto policy in NY that renews on the 9th
auto in NJ that renews on the 10th
homeowner's that renews in 7 weeks
I get multi policy discounts for all of them. I want to move the NJ auto and homeowners policies to another carrier for better pricing. I'm looking to do it on the 10th after the NY policy takes effect. Once I do it the multi-policy discounts will go away.
will the NY policy go up in price after the renewal takes effect? I don't pay it and it's for family members who are also on it and it's a lot of money and I want to hold off the pricing complaints as long as I can
Pets Best - Annual premium increase
I have a Pets Best insurance policy on all three of my cats, and on one cat who has passed. I have had good experiences with the company who has saved me thousands in bills (across four pets). I have been a pets best customer for over 6 years.
I just got an email saying that one of my cats premiums will increase from $225 to $378 dollars a year. The only reason they give is that he's a year older (now four years old).
I am wondering if anyone has experienced a similar jarring increase. Will it be the same for my other two cats? Does pets best negotiate premiums? Is there a cap or should I expect this annually?
I know there are issues with getting coverage for preexisting conditions so changing providers for this car isn't an option, but I could explore different coverage for my other pets.
Please advise. Thanks!
MetLife - MetLifes denial of my claims appears to be a breach of contract (to me). Do I have any recourse?
To start, I must say I am very familiar with contractual language, terms, etc. With that being said, I specifically combed through multiple providers agreements to ensure I'd have coverage for specific events.
MetLife has denied all of my claims & appeals for of course, it having been a preexisting condition. That in itself is hilarious - during an annual checkup my vet and I were discussing how she's been and I mentioned a little sleepy that week but so was I and they diagnosed her with "lethargy".
Either way, unless reviewing their policy certain tests and medications would appear to be included under coverage regardless. It's difficult to give specifics over Reddit, but I figured someone may be able to direct me on how to pursue this further.
Aetna DMO - Aetna DMO is causing issues. What can I do?
I have Aetna DMO, and I am constantly being overcharged for things. It started with the dentist recommending a deep cleaning even when I knew for sure that I didn't need it. I still paid because I thought it was better than letting my teeth worsen. Then the dentist tells me I need 2 inlays. The insurance says they should cost $115, but the dentist's very rude receptionist mentions that they use Emax only, which is a $750 upgrade.
It makes no sense to be paying so much for these treatments, and for all I know, I may not even be needing them. What is a good solution for me at this point? Just go to a well-reviewed dentist and pay them cash for this? Or can I maybe get external insurance myself? But I doubt any external insurance will be as good as what my employer is already offering. (Aetna DMO)
