Have an issue with your insurance?
Let everyone know!
Insurance companies are constantly reviewing us. Are we too old? Do we live in the wrong place? Is our credit score high enough? Well, now it's time to turn the tables. Do you charge too much? Will you pay my claim quickly? Is your coverage worse than it seems? We can review you too.
TD - Towing request considered as accident
I have TD auto insurance. January, I got into a ditch and called towing service. However, at that time, I had no idea that I could simply submit a towing reimbursement. So I called and opened a claim. Adjuster provided me an email address for towing reimbursement. No car fix was required. Now upon renewal, TD claims that getting into the ditch is an accident claim on file even though they paid 0 dollars on it. I called multiple times and they got me to the underwriting department for a final review. How would this go? Anyone has similar experience? What can I do if they still refuse to see me as accident free?
State Farm - At fault auto insurance company won't pay whole bill advice needed
Some one hit my vehicle while it was parked in Tennessee. I got a police report showing they were at fault. When they contacted me to get it fixed I did not go with a body shop in their network. They said that was ok.
Now the car is almost fixed and the body shop said the insurance company won't pay the amount the body shop said. It is a difference of $135 from a $1500 bill they already paid.
What should I do? They said because I didn't use their network body shop it was not guaranteed to pay everything. I also have a rental from them. I called twice today to talk to the insurance supervisor and have not got a call back. It is state farm.
Thanks for the advice.
MI Medicaid - Insurance denied claim for ER visit and says I owe 0$ but I got a 1000$ bill from hospital in the mail.
I had an ER visit back in Dec 2024 and I got a bill yesterday for 1000$. On my insurance app (MI Medicaid) it says I owe 0$ and the claim was denied but I still got a bill. Am I responsible to pay this bill still? I submitted a claim with my insurance because it was an emergency and at night no urgent cares were open. It’s Sunday so nothing is open and nobody else I can talk to right now. What should I do?
UnitedHealthcare - Can an insurance company refuse to allow me to file a claim?
Long story short, I recently got a grant for my son who has autism spectrum disorder and was able to find a provider who had social skills therapy for him. The grant will reimburse me costs 100% however they need a copy of the EOB. I found a provider who was out of network but was the only one offering this therapy in the time period I needed it. She was upfront saying that we would have to file our own claim which I have no problem with. She provided the superbill and all of the codes.
Well today I logged into UHC to try to submit a mental health claim and the form is not available, then I called them and they told me that I cannot submit my own claim. I told them that my provider does not file claims but they were insistent on saying that the doctor would have to file them. Is this a common practice? I am just frustrated.
Blue Cross Blue Shield - My BCBS health insurance won't be active until next month but I need help now, Will I have to pay out of pocket? 23f
I'm on my mom's blue cross blue shield medicaid IL insurance and for some reason I was kicked off last month and now it says I'll be back on next month. My mom isn't sure why that happened.
When I tried to make an appointment yesterday my bcbs insurance ID wasn't working when it always has.
But I NEED to go to a hospital some time soon.
Will my medicaid ID work or are they together? If it doesn't work does that mean I'll have to pay out of pocket if I go before next month.
LA Care - LA Care refusing to pay ER visit
During december this year, I had to go to the ER for a kidney infection while visiting family in Wisconsin.
I'm in California and have had LA Care since I turned 26 and was kicked off my mother's insurance (Blue Cross/ Blue Shield Missisippi) I'm 28 now.
LA Care is now saying that they were never my primary insurance, and that BCBS is my primary, so the responsibility of the bill falls onto them and me.
I had a surgery 2 years ago that was covered by LA Care.
I have contacted BCBS to ensure that my insurance is not still active with them, and it isn't. I three-wayd a phone call with representatives from both LA Care and BCBS to make sure the issue resolved.
Ive been calling LA Care since early this year to have them remove BCBS as my primary since I no longer have it, but as of yesterday, they still haven't removed it, and are still listed as my secondary insurance.
The hospital in Wisconsin and billing me over 6k. I can't afford that, and was under the impression I'd not be billed since a kidney infection is classified as an emergency under LA Care's policy.
I don't know what to do. I'd appreciate any insight on this situation, LA Care is being incredibly unhelpful, and refuses to even let me submit an appeal.
LA Care also covered a surgery I had 2 years ago. I was never aware they weren't my primary insurance.
Geico - Car Insurance Unaffordable Because of Accident History. Do I turn in my license and sell my car?
I am 24, and I got my license at 19. In the past 3 years I have had 3 accidents, 2 of which the car was totaled/not worth repairing. We have Geico, and to renew the plan with me on it they’re charging is about 8k per 6 months, or about 1300 a month. When my dad tried to shop around, the only other company willing to take us on with myself as a driver was Progressive, and when all the details were filled out they wanted to charge us even more. Since I am a member of the household with a license, I have to be on any car insurance plan he gets. We have two other cars, so selling my car wouldn’t impact my dad. I was thinking that after selling my car, I could use the money to pay for ride-sharing.
Also: if I turn in my license now and try to renew it next year, will the premiums go down or stay the same?

I also left a voice message on your voice mail.
I read all of this - The Owner of the property that I am renting from said that the Plumbers Official Report was that the water was sewage water and it came from the toilets. For context the water rushing into my place was what woke me up and I woke up in a panic to put all belongings on spaces that are high enough for them not to be damaged.
The unit has been deemed uninhabitable by the Owners insurance and I do not have a home at the moment. AS of today my hotel stay has ended and I am down about 2k for trying to staying here.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I do not want to be homeless in less than 24 hours.
Corvel - Should I give up?
I was in an accident back in April. At the time I did not have insurance on my car. The driver who hit and totaled my car admitted fault. Since I didn’t have insurance at the time I contacted their insurance company(Corvel) myself. After 2 months of constantly calling I was able to get in contact with an agent and she was able to compensate me for the car damages and towing charges. She later said she would take care of my medical. I was supposed to gather my medical records from the day of the accident and my medical bills and email them to her. I sent them back in the beginning of June and have not heard back since. Ive emailed and called and have heard nothing. Is this worth pursuing or should I just call it a day and be grateful for what I have received?
Carmoola - Faulty on Finance
I got a BMW from Auto Trader in October. The garage I got it from was dodgy as fuck but the car seemed fine. After 3 weeks oil all over my drive way, since then been in and out with constant problems. (Engine coolant system failure, new control module, new turbo with new gaskets and turbo actuator).
I took the car to my regular garage since the one I got it from was dodgy (I understand now this was a mistake), I phoned the original garage and since I never took it in to them they’re saying there’s nothing they will do. Since Christmas I’ve had the car for 13 days, have it a couple days then in the garage it goes, constant problems. None of this is my fault, the garage has confirmed this, I know how to look after a car.
£4,000 roughly in garage costs. Plus the money i’ve been spending on finance etc on a car I do not have.
Can anyone please give advice on anything I can do to be reimbursed on some of the money I’ve spend since none of this is my fault and the car is so recently in my possession. I have been in touch with finance company (Carmoola) just waiting for the final receipts from garage to forward them.
