Pets Best - Pets Best new underwriter better or worse then old one?
I just talked with Pets Best as I have a 30% increase in my premium for this next year (3 year old dog). They said they have changed underwriters and if I get a rewrite the new underwriter premiums are about the same price I have been paying (so 30% lower then the previous underwriter). I know all of the waiting periods would restart and no preexisting conditions (the only condition she has had they already denied saying it was preexisting (I had to switch after Many Pets stopped covering in my State)). Has anyone done this rewrite? Any one know if the new underwriter is better or worse vs the old?
Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield - Been trying to prove that I was a domestic partner & get insurance- please help!
I was on my domestic partners health insurance for a couple of months before they left their job. We had all the papers signed legally in front of a notary and I was officially listed on their insurance. However, they left their job and I am trying to get insurance again through Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield by proving that I was on my partners insurance. Sadly it has been nothing but a back-and-forth struggle, sending paperwork, and asking for their phone number only to be ignored.
I have given then my full name, my partners full name, my partners termination information, and I have even used the insurance at a local urgent care recently (plus printed out the document showcasing my full name listed as a domestic partner on their insurance). After proving I am who I am, they keep asking for more information and this time asked for my terimination date from my job to prove I was on the insurance. But I didn't leave my job. My partner did, which I have explained. They also asked for the loss of coverage date, but I have sent previous emails with that said date.
Long story short: I am trying to prove I was a domestic partner on my partners insurance, only to be asked again and again for more paperwork (of ones specifically I have already provided).
Has anyone else faced this issue? Is there any way I can go about this in a more efficient way or anyone I can contact?

Hello guys. Sobrang taas kasi ng penaalty na pinataw sakin ni Gcredit, napabayaan ko na din ilang buwan kasi nalimutan ko na meron pala akong existing na na-utang don i think mula sa pagloload lang.
Nung binuksan ko, 1500 ung penalty pero yung utang ko is 151 lang huhu. Feeling ko sobra naman yung penalty at nagcontact ako sa customer service ni gcash at email ng collection pero wala reply sa email at sa help center is wala silang nagagawa.
Parang ayoko bayaran dahil feeling ko excessive naman. Total is 1651 lahat from 151 na utang. I know na fault ko na hindi lagi nagchecheck ng accounts ko pero balak ko naman sana bayaran pero hindi sana ganiyan kalaking penalty na 10x sa loan ko.
I did research and saw BSP Circular No. 1133, series of 2021 which is "A total cost cap of 100 percent of total amount borrowed (applying to all interest, other fees and charges, and penalties) regardless of time the loan has been outstanding." valid po ba ito kay gcredit? Should that mean na 151 lang din dapat ang max fee (penalties, service charge and interest) na babayaran ko with my loan totalling to 302 pesos max?
Geico - Kicked off Geico car insurance
We were just kicked off our car insurance policy after 22 years of being loyal customers because my daughter filed a claim after an accident where she was not at fault, her 1y/o son was in the car at the time. Their reasoning for terminating our policy is that I didn’t list her then 3 month old son at the time of filling out the attention letter back in December. We’re in Michigan, how is this legal?
Odie Pet Insurance - Odie Pet Insurance
I hope this info helps and would love any additional details anyone else may have… As I assume there are a multitude of others that are in the exact same (sinking) boat.
Had ManyPets for 2 years. Used it and Loved it. Premium went up 223% this year when they announced the switch to Odie. Shortly after I sent an email disputing that increase, I got an email from both ManyPets and Odie stating that they had found a discrepancy and revised my premium amount to a much lower rate. THEN, days after, Odie went ahead and charged the Amex I had in file with ManyPets without authorization AND it was for an amount greater than they had originally stated. I have emailed them a dozen times over the last 2 to 3 weeks, tried to reach them on chat through the portal, and I've been calling every day. I've only been able to find two numbers that are intended for customer care: (877) 327-0471 & (877) 427-0471 I get nowhere with either one. Continuous on old music on one, dead air on the other. I contacted American Express, as I had my auto-payment with ManyPets set up with them (in hindsight, that was very smart). I created a dispute and they removed the AmEx card for future payments, but have started that I need to get someone on the phone or an answer via email proving they understand I wish to cancel. It sounds as though unless I can do that, I may be out that initial charge that hit on 1/3. The Amex representative did help me track down a third number he found listed on the Internet somewhere: (212) 645-2884. This is a New York number and is eventually sent to Voicemail for someone named Miles Darson. I've now called this number and left a message two days in a row. Still have no reply.
I will say, I looked up the Odie office location on a map and it's very near the area in California where all the raging fires are going on. I can't help but wonder if that has something to do with this, but also can't imagine they wouldn't post information for all their clients or answer the phone and reply to emails. It appears as though they just took everybody's money and ran ...
Happy that I was only charged once and was able to cancel future payments through AMEX, but even just on principle… I want my money back from the initial charge. Extremely infuriating.
unknown - Can I make my boss pay me back for what insurance was supposed to pay for?
I recently ran into some medical issues and just got my blood sent in for testing, which my office said they'd run through my insurance. Then today at work my coworker got a call from her doctor saying that her appointment had to be rescheduled or cancelled because her insurance policy came back as having been cancelled. I immediately went to check the status of my insurance and found that it had been "termed" as of a month and a half ago. According to my insurance provider, I have no medical, dental, or vision insurance. My paychecks are still having money pulled for insurance payments and I received no notice of a cancelled plan (checked emails, messages, and physical mail) but when I call my provider they tell me I'm not insured. This is the same for every other coworker I've spoken to this afternoon.
I've already reached out to my employer about this and am waiting on a response, but my question is: if my medical bills come back higher because I'm "not insured", am I legally able to make my employer pay for the difference as it's their responsibility to maintain my (and my other coworkers') health insurance?
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois - Why am I paying so much?
My husband and I signed up for BCBS of Illinois PPO+ plan through his work this year. I started seeing a physiatrist who was in network. When my claim was submitted, they only approved a discount from $360 to $219 leaving me having to pay $219 out of pocket. I previously had United Healthcare from my last company and with that insurance my physiatry appointments were only $30. I have read through our policy agreement but have to admit, I have no idea what I am reading. Can someone help explain what is different between my currently BCBS plan that only approves a discount vs other plans who only make you pay the co-pay? Thank you!
United - How do people get surprise insurance claims??
I am in a situation where I need a surgery so will 100% hit my out of pocket maximum.
The max, 8K, is fortunately something we can readily afford. The only thing that scares me are all the scary stories about how they get completely screwed over for supposedly covered procedures and are in debt tens of thousands at once.
What I do to prevent this possibility or are those detrimental stories are from people who do not have any coverage???

at fault party insurance - What would you do?
Sorry in advance. My minds a mess and I feel like venting to reddit might give me some insights and make me feel slightly better.
I was in an accident recently with two cars. I was stopped at a stop sign and one car made a left turn in front of a car going like 90 mph straight. The straight lane car hit the turning car and bounced off it right into my driver side door. He smashed my car hard enough to push me several feet over a curb and through a chain link fence (maybe 15 feet?). I crawled out of my passenger side door as fast as I could because the car that hit me caught on fire quickly. His car was maybe 5 feet away from my door after the impact. The left turning car and straight car both went to the hospital by ambulance. I got picked up by my fiance and went right after.
I've been talking with the at fault party insurance company and it's abundantly clear to both parties I was zero fault. They came to an agreement of 65(turning car) - 35 (straight car) for fault.

Ambetter - What to do?
So I canceled my health insurance with ambetter on 3/22/2025 and i got charged agian for April. I called twice and asked if there was any way that they could refund the money they stole for that one month and they of course said that they didn't charge me and that im crazy. I have the bank statement and the cancelation form. Who do I go to to report this and how do I get my money back?
