Healthy paws raises premium every time they get the chance. My autopay failed so they canceled my account after 8 years of being a customer. Claimed they sent certified mailed to be signed for but it was sent to a different address so not sure how I signed for it. Use a better company like pets best!

Do yourself a favor and either put the money away each month or wait until your dog gets older to insure them I thought I was doing the right thing by insuring her when she was a puppy to avoid paying higher premiums when she got older. I first started out at $26.36 per month then it was increased each year to $31.42 to $37.29 to $40.32 to $42.34 and never had I claim throughout this whole time then I was notified it was being increased to $59.77 per month. They said it was due to all the other claims they have had to pay out of course not my claims. After the notification I did submit a claim as my dog had had inflammation in her gums and bleeding and because my vet marked it as a dental cleaning they denied the claim. Now why would I have another dental cleaning in February since I already had one in October we all know how expensive they are. So far I paid out over $2000.00 to healthy paws and I wish I would of put that money away instead of paying it to them I’ve had enough I will be canceling my coverage what a waste.

Please do not use this insurance as it keeps on denying insurance coverage that's not wellness. The bad experience I have: 1. it takes them 24-48 hours to deny your case. 2. it takes them 7-10 business days to review your resubmitted case. 3. they will deny your case and give you a reason that's not even true.

What is even the point of having insurance when they don’t cover anything? Not only do they not cover ear infections or dental but they also changed my premium from $30 to $106 because of a breed mix up. My dog is a jindo Pomeranian mix and weighs 16lbs. I called to see if I could get reimbursed or have it roll over to next couples of months. Nope they “can’t” do it. Healthy paws friggin suuuuucks and it’s useless. Obviously run by people who don’t have pets or care about their wellbeing.

We tried two separate pet insurances when we got our beagle puppies in 2012 (Trupanion) and 2014 (HealthyPaws). I am based in Texas. Today, we pay $127 a month for Trupanion (for the older dog) and $208 a month for Healthy Paws. Our recent premium increased $80 per month this year "due to our zip code" which apparently isn't impacted at Trupanion. I've considered dropping coverage but with my dog's age now, it would be very difficult to start over elsewhere. Ironically, I went with Healthy Paws on a friend's recommendation. She also regrets Healthy Paws and went through a different insurance provider (Nationwide Pet Insurance) when they recently got a puppy. It's beyond frustrating (and unethical) what they do to their customers. LOOK ELSEWHERE!

Intentionally cancelled my policy. I being a customer for over 8years. And suddenly receive an email that my policy cancelled. No communication before. Seems , now my pet is getting older and they know it will cost them. Stay away from this company

Absolutely disappointed with Healthy Paws pet insurance! I purchased their policy with high hopes of ensuring the health and well-being of my beloved dog, but was left with a feeling of complete betrayal. My poor dog had broken teeth which required expensive dental work. Imagine my shock when I discovered that Healthy Paws not only refused to cover the costs, but also did not provide any refunds!

Please do not be tricked by this company for bringing you into their company at a reasonable rate, for them to have raised it each year between 15-20% and now in my dog's 6th year with them they raised it 40% over $300 in one year!

the company canceled my policy without getting a confirmation from me and did not reinste my policy as it used to stand. probably because my pet is now older . I HAVE PAID PREIUMS TO THIS COMPANY FOR OVER A DECADE AND PAID INTO THE POLICY MANY YEARS. their costumer care and the way they do business does has no regard for the costumers rights or well being

Absolutely horrendous customer support. They recently denied two claims I filed after my two dogs required emergency vet visits, and they said ‘anything done by a vet isn’t covered.’ Where else would I take my dogs? What other medical expenses would I incur OUTSIDE of a veterinary clinic? I’ve been trying to get a hold of someone, anyone at customer service to explain to me exactly what is covered and why I’m paying over $200 a month for 3 dogs if emergency care isn’t covered. But nobody is responding via email or phone. I’m going to cancel my policy immediately. If you’re considering healthy paws, I would very much recommend looking elsewhere.
