Embrace - Up loading of info is very slow
Up loading of info is very slow. Monthly payments and deductible is too expensive. There should be a discount if we have more than one pet under embrace. Seems like an upgrade to claims process is in order.
Embrace - You cannot cancel unless you call
You cannot cancel unless you call and they try to keep you on the phone as long as they can for no reason. Additionally, they will deny any claim that they can and then give you fake money, towards nothing, as a consolation prize. I definitely do not recommend this company and the fact they they claim to represent USAA is horrible.
Embrace - Rudeness/ the cost upfront
When I first called in and a gentleman answered, I asked them was there anyway that he could waive the $25 for the first time he told me no didn’t even explain why he was snippy and the fact that you have to spend $25 is absolutely ridiculous so I’m going to be canceling And I found another company that would wave the set up fee for me and they are a lot nicer. The only reason I was asking is because I’m fighting cancer and that alone is expensive.
Embrace - Price gouging
I recommend any pet owner I know to get pet insurance; however, I will never be recommending Embrace. My monthly premium on my dog went up almost $20/mo….on my only THREE year old dog. They say the increase is due to inflation and age but I have a hard time believe inflation caused this much of an increase and my dog is not old. We have a few emergent visits this year, so I feel like even though they claim to not increase due to useage, they absolutely have. Unfortunately I’m stuck with them if I want insurance since now she will have to”preexisting conditions” as a new pet on new insurance.
Embrace - Coverage was horrible for the price…
Coverage was horrible for the price paid. The prorated premium was not returned. Hey, Embrace, what will you guys be using my unused premiums for? Hope you have fun at your employee party! You guys are thieves!!
Embrace - Ridiculous, up $100 a month from last year!
Pretty good customer service. Turn around time for reimbursements generally quick. The problem is the high increase of premium this year. GSD 8 years old. Pretty healthy overall. I believe that since he gets monthly shots and needs checkups for arthritis they increase payments more. Premium was raised almost $100! We had to greatly decrease our coverage for him to be able to afford it. Went from $200-$500 deductible. Dropped max yearly from $10,000 down to $5000. Went from 90% payback down to 70%. Seniors on a fixed income but we may end up not being able to keep up payments. They will do the same thing to us next year! We have it in case of emergency too, but it seems we are paying more than what we
would pay out for him without this insurance. Also they told me once we decrease we cannot increase again. Well, who can afford to anyway. We are being penalized for actually using the insurance we pay for. It's not right! We will not refer anyone to Embrace! We feel price gouged in a big way... no matter Embrace's reasoning for it. When it comes to dog insurance or groceries it is time to cancel. Hence the 2 stars.
Embrace - I had a terrible time with the online
I had a terrible time with the online system today. I had three claims to submit and had to do each one smore than one time as something always popped up and caused a restart. Also, the menu for the hospital names jumped a few times causing me to select the wrong provider and having to go back and try again. Not a very good experience today.
Embrace - Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs! They increase rates by as much as 57% every year for a single healthy young pup. When you do file a claim, they often deny giving an accuse that the itemized bill isn't legible, when anyone with normal vision can read it perfectly fine.
Embrace - A longong wait on phone before I received help. And difficult to submit my claim this time
Hire more people so the wait on the phone isn't soooo long.
Embrace - This is a total SCAM
This is a total SCAM. I filed 7 claims over the course of a year, and ALL of them were denied. I canceled the insurance and the confirmed that it was canceled and then continued charging my credit card. STAY AWAY!
UPDATE: Now they are claiming they can't even find my account after it was open for more than one year. Don't believe their reply about 92% of claims being honored. SEVEN of mine were denied. SCAM
