Embrace - Zero stars
If I could give zero stars, I would. I have had a policy with Embrace Pet insurance for more than two years, at a cost of $85.79, for a total of more than $2,000. They have turned down both of my invoices for reimbursement for timing reasons, which is absurd. They first requested documents which both I and my vet provided multiple times, dragging the process out for months. They decided that they no longer accept JPEGs or DropBox files somewhere during those weeks. DO NOT EVER USE EMBRACE, unless you want to be effed.
Embrace - Embrace is not a trustworthy company
I took my dog in for his yearly checkup and the cost for shots etc was $394.00. I had the wellness benefit so assumed Embrace would cover minus the deductible. My claim was denied because the service was on July 11, 2025 and the policy renewal wasn’t until 10 days later. I have been payjng my policy premiums monthly since the inception of my policy. I called Customer Service and was told because the service was before the renewal date that I had met my Wellness Benefit and would not receive my benefit.
Embrace - A great deal of difficulty logging in
A great deal of difficulty logging in. I tried several times before I was able to successfully log in.
Secondly, this form doesn't allow for submission of a claim "Exam/Consultation Well Patient" (as my vet called it) or routine shots.
Embrace - Consistently receiving error messages…
Consistently receiving error messages that "something went wrong" even though if I log out and log in again, sometimes 3-4 times, it works. this has been happening every time I try to submit a claim for the past 2 months.
Embrace - A bad claim submitting form
First time use of the Embrace claim system. This is an absolutely bad claim submission system. On Safari, the boxes for which to add info are small, the letters are tiny, etc. Having to provide the diagnostics yourself, and not leaving to the vet is annoying, and just creates an opportunity for your claim to be rejected if your description and the vet's don't match. My experience with HealthyPaws was much more seamless. Just upload the invoice and you are done.
Embrace - NOT IMPRESSED
So far, I'm not impressed with the coverage and likely going to cancel. Very disappointed to learn they will not honor any claims only two months after you have the service - ridiculous for what I'm paying in premiums.
Embrace - I don't like that
I don't like that, after asking several times, My dog groomer has not been added to the list of providers.
Please put it in the list!

They were good until they were not. Doubled my premium on the renewal and left me hanging. Forced me to start looking for insurance elsewhere. Not a long term partner.

I previously had pet insurance through Nationwide. The only reason I switched was due to Embraces relationship with USAA. After the first claim I received an email stating they were doing a health history check on my dog. Shortly after I received an email with a list of things they won’t cover. Many of these things were temporary in nature, like diarrhea. It would be like my insurance saying you had a cold six months ago, we won’t cover anything related to a cold for 1 year. Buyer beware. They are polite. That’s about it. I should have never left Nationwide.

This is worse pet insurance you ever can get be aware the make a problem for everything plus you have to pay in front of your packet after that they don’t pay you back make a problem ! I will never get something like this i cancel the policy right away very bad company!
