Embrace - False Advertising and Poor Customer Service Experience
I believed Embrace would be a great company for my pet due to the option of reducing the waiting period for orthopedic injuries by completing the “Orthopedic Report Card” after seeing the section on Embrace’s website, and talking to multiple people in my state who have enrolled their pets and successfully reduced the waiting period for orthopedic injuries. I signed up for a plan through Embrace even though the cost per month was much higher than competitors due to the appeal of that offer. Upon enrolling my pet I was unable to find the “Orthopedic Report Card” on my account and called the customer support line to find a solution. The representative informed me that the waiting period could not be reduced with my plan and treated me with a flippant attitude and even chuckled when I explained that I only enrolled due to the appeal of a company that would reduce the waiting period for orthopedic injuries for a healthy dog. The tactics used to lure customers in with false claims is dishonest, and the uncaring attitude of the representative I spoke to was extremely off putting. Had the representative informed me that newly established plans in my state no longer allow for a reduction in the waiting period in a compassionate and understanding manor I may have stayed with the company regardless of the fact that the waiting period can no longer be reduced, but I will not do business with a company whose representatives are not caring and professional.
Embrace - multiple claims
multiple claims, none considered or applied to deductible just says " awaiting medical history" despite me sending in veterinary records myself
Embrace - We paid for insurance on our dog…
We paid for insurance on our dog starting in fall of 2016, and never missed a payment. This spring, my payment somehow didn't go through, and they cancelled my policy! All of their emails went into my spam folder so I had no idea. Now my dog's back was hurt and I was left without insurance without my knowledge.
Embrace - I just canceled after 3 years
I just canceled after 3 years. The cost got to be too much. And they find every reason to make a pre-existing condition. I initially signed up my 10 year old dog it was $52 with a $500 deductible. Then it was $65 with a 750 deductible then it was $82 with $1,000 deductible and then for 13-year-old dog it was $220 with $1,000 deductible. She's a healthy dog fortunately. All the people I dealt with were very nice both sales and claims, but the increase seems high and I would expect next year it would be even higher

Not good for AKC purebred puppies that at 6 weeks have a “good to go home” record signed by a valid veterinarian at VetCo which covers all physical wellness(vaccinations, deworming, check ups) of the puppy. This is deemed invalid by Embrace. Now future visits are considered preexisting because they claim that my dog never had a valid physical. No coverage for visits. Very frustrating!!

Too many things considered prexsisting conditions.
Embrace - Disappointed with Embrace – Insect Bite Not Considered an “Accident”
I purchased accident coverage from Embrace to ensure my dog, Daisy, would be protected in unexpected situations. Unfortunately, when she suffered a clear reaction to insect bites after playing in a field—something any pet owner would reasonably consider an accident—Embrace denied the claim.
The veterinarian's note confirmed that her symptoms were consistent with insect bites or stings, yet Embrace still refused to cover the incident under the accident plan. It’s incredibly frustrating and disheartening to realize that even straightforward, unpredictable injuries like this don’t qualify under their definition of “accident.”
I bought this policy in good faith, expecting that basic, common emergencies would be covered. Instead, I feel misled. What exactly is the point of paying for accident insurance if it doesn't actually protect your pet when accidents happen?
I strongly caution other pet owners to read the fine print very carefully. In my experience, Embrace overpromises and underdelivers. This feels like a scam disguised as insurance.
Embrace - Scam
Increased policy by a couple thousand every year on top of the $400 deductible that doesn’t cover preventative care, dental, etc. They want over 8k this year & once a dog is 16 they have preexisting conditions other companies won’t cover - so embrace takes advantage of that.
Embrace - I will be filing a complaint with the…
I will be filing a complaint with the BBB, we have been a customer for about 10 years, with no lapse of coverage or ever exceeding what we have paid. Embrace has increased our premium over 100% to almost $500 a month. When I called them they said it happens to everyone. My dogs have been somewhat healthy, we have been loyal and they increase our premium to bully us out of our already minimal coverage. This company is sad, when you need your coverage they will take advantage of you. Word of advice don’t give them money, put what you would pay monthly aside and hope you don’t exceed that.
Embrace - My premium went up 40% this year
My premium went up 40% this year. No claims, no interaction with embrace. Sure, my dog’s a year older but 40%. Not happy. Stay away!!!
