Embrace - SCAM
SCAM. If you don’t get insurance when your dog is born, everything will be considered a preexisting condition.
Embrace - I feel the policies are too expensive, too many pre existing, cannot get thru on the phone line, FAQ's page is worthless
I feel the policies are too expensive. Instead of giving you all 160 dollars a month I should have put those monies in a bank account since most things you claim are pre existing. After one year of coverage, I submit a claim for $206.00 and I find out I have a $500 deductible. Secondly, I tried to call and was on hold for 20 minutes prior to disconnecting. Lastly, after going thru the website to submit the claim it kicked me out and make me complete it all over again. Horrible experience, I will be discontinuing coverage with you all, with more thought about all the exclusions you have on my two pets makes sense to just save the monies and put in an acct.
Embrace - Review 1. Starting the process
This is our second attempt at gaining the benefit of this insurance company. Our first attempt we received nothing for our first pet. This review will be the first of a series of reviews detailing the company performance at each step.
Claim submitted in under 5 minutes. Easy user interface. Claim was accompanied by pdf receipts showing $1131 in charges. No other documents submitted.
Embrace - Pre-existing condition nonsense
My puppy has not had any issues except coccidia but Embrace's VT read in her health history that her ears were a little red but there was no infection. So now she is asserting that an ear infection that occurs within one year of pink ears would be considered a pre-existing condition. This is wrong! It is just an excuse to not cover ear infections in the future when there has not been an infection at all. I will have my vet address this incorrect analysis. But the point is that I should not have to go through this from someone that has never even seen my puppy.
Embrace - Hard to get claims covered
It's a huge ordeal to get anything covered. They often misassess claims and deny things that should be covered under my policy, requiring me to fight for coverage, which is a slow and often unsuccessful process. I would have saved more money just paying for my dog's medical expenses outright, rather than paying for this insurance, which hardly covers anything
Embrace - Will say anything and everything is a preexisting condition… and it is a problem for ever…
I got a letter indicating that my dog has preexisting conditions. He is a healthy 3 year old.. no issues. I am concerned, take him to the vet with the letter and vet say… he doesn’t have those issues.. so buyer beware…let me be more specific. I volunteered to have x-rays of my dogs hips and lower back when I got him neutered. The doctor didn't see any concern but the radiologist said...the "Might" the one word excluded any coverage of of hip joint issues...period....doesn't matter if it has nothing to do with a degenerative disease. So my understanding if he hurts himself or by a accident...those hips have no coverage... even thought there was nothing wrong with him and I did the x-ray as voluntary because AKC keeps data bases on purebreds. The word MIGHT on one hip is grounds for lifetime exclusion.
Second issue a vet, not his regular mad a comment about tarter...embrace said I have to get his teeth cleaned to have teeth covered...I show the vet and ...the VET SAID she WOULD NOT perform a cleaning because he does not have tartar he has stains on two teeth, I brush his teeth every day, clean his ears, brush his coat, Dremel his nails...I go over him every day... So I can't get his teethe clean, which as stated he does not need...but his coverage is excluded..so the insurance company diagnose and assigns treatment mandates with out verifying or conferring that those issues NEVER seeing it for them self's and I am not sure adjuster are veterinarians. Just be aware, any word like "Might", "maybe", "possibly"..etc. words like that, will cause exclusions in the policy. Just know...
I think this is important for understanding.
There was know not covered for 6 months or some other time period...I could be wrong and would love clarification... are this exclusions forever or for a time period?
Embrace - Astronomical increase in monthly cost
We have had Embrace pet insurance for just over 15 years they have been great until now they just raised our monthly rate from $340.00 to $1050.00 ! For a $5000.00 a year policy. Quite shocking! Now of course she will not have insurance when she needs it. I have recommended Embrace throughout the years ,now I will inform them of this practice.
Embrace - My previous claim was denied for reason…
My previous claim was denied for reason I didn’t understand. Now, I can’t give positive feedback yet because I’m not sure if they will approve it. I’m considering stopping or switching to another company if nothing will be covered on this one . I had been paying premiums for more than a year now which I could use to cover the expenses.
Embrace - Terrible Experience
Terrible Experience – Avoid at All Costs!
I signed up for Embrace Pet Insurance thinking it would give me peace of mind, but instead, it’s been a nightmare. For five months, they charged my credit card without ever reviewing my pet’s health history. Then, when I finally submitted a claim, they denied it due to "pre-existing conditions"—conditions they never even asked about when I enrolled!
How can an insurance company take your money for months without verifying coverage eligibility? It feels like a scam—they happily collect premiums but refuse to pay out when you actually need them. The worst part? Their customer service was dismissive and unhelpful when I tried to resolve the issue.
If you’re looking for real pet insurance that actually covers your pet, look elsewhere. Embrace will take your money and leave you high and dry when it matters most. Waste of time and money.
Embrace - So far not overly impressed
So far not overly impressed. I just enrolled my Toy Poodle and presented a question about the amount I was billed last Wednesday and six days later I am still waiting on a reply!
I had been with my vet’s Paw plan and moved. Unfortunately the offices where I moved don’t offer it. They were outstanding!
