Embrace - Adjusters don't read attached documents…
Adjusters don't read attached documents or notes. This is the second claim where the adjuster failed to thoroughly read attached documents and associated notes. Because of this they have denied a claim because the claim system didn't have a matching diagnosis in the subject pull down menu and only paid 50% of the submitted items on a second. I wish I had researched this company better before purchasing policies.
Embrace - Just started with them and I’m already extremely unimpressed
So far, unfortunately, I cannot give embrace a good review. It seems as though they will do anything they can to avoid paying any claims. Basically, one of my kitties has a completely clean bill of health for his heart, but on one emergency visit showed he had a heart murmur (due to fear! He’s never had one since) And they are excluding any future heart related issues from his coverage, saying that he has a Pre-existing heart condition (laughable because the same exact vet took an x-ray of his chest and said his heart is fully healthy, and his chest is completely clear). When I called my vet to chat with them about this and they heard I was using Embrace they said that they are a nightmare to deal with and basically I should switch to anybody else. I am appealing his heart condition on the medical review since it is not an actual pre-existing condition and hopefully things will look up in the future but honestly, I’m expecting the worst.
Embrace - A scam “insurance” company
Didn’t want to approve a claim for an ear infection because of a skin infection (which was caused by a reaction to new soap) 8 months prior. I had fetch before, I should have never left fetch. 600 dollar policy got me nothing, what a scam.
Embrace - 50 percent rate hike
I had no claims for the past year and only 1 small claim the year before and they hiked my rate by 50 percent so I would be paying nearly $3000 a year. Luckily I found better, less expensive coverage through Lemonade.
Embrace - Dog dies and the bright side is I can cancel Embrace
The big positive about my dog dying is that I can cancel an overpriced and largely useless policy with Embrace.
Have been a policyholder for 4 different animals for over 10 years. Used to like them and enthusiastically recommend them.
Something went grossly wrong with this company around 2021-22. Astronomical rate hikes, nothing covered, every claim submission a problem.
Look at Forbes' ratings or WSJ. There are much better options these days than Embrace.
All I can say is Embrace has essentially stolen from me and ruined my life dog health care wise for at least the last 3 years.
AVOID.
Embrace - Not worth the expense
Nearly all claims submitted over 2+ years were denied outright or when paid the reimbursement was a fraction of what we paid to our veterinarian.
Even with partial reimbursement when our dog had pneumonia and our cat had skin lesions we never came close to the amounts we paid for premiums. We would have better better off just paying the vet bills with no insurance rather than paying the premiums.
Embrace - I moved and they charged more money. Scam
I moved and called the change address. Despite the fact that I use the same vet they made my policy way more expensive just by changing my mailing address. Was scammy and the man on the phone was very unprofessional and rude to me. I canceled.
Embrace - Never covered anything
Never covered anything. They stated an acute case of pneumonia from aspiration was a preexisting condition. Had 4 legitimate claiams all denied.

Unbelievable, just setting up the account is a nightmare, I can't wait to see what happens when we need to file a claim! Caught in an endless loop of 'register your account,' then the screen saying the account's already registered (it isn't), then asking for the user name I had supposedly set-up--and getting an email saying my email (where they're sending me everything else) isn't registered to an account, so I should register--and it all happens again! Need a PERSON to contact me. Hope this experience gets better soon.
