The claim was for dental surgery (periodontal disease). The reason it was denied is that the cat had no previous medical records showing his dental condition. They also said that no single exam is going to be enough to establish he didn't have previous dental problems, they need to see a record of his health over time. I do realise that dental is a separate category as far as most insurence companies are concerned, but I also wonder if they won't use the same reasoning in future claims. How can I prove something wasn't a preexisting condition if I don't have records? Some background: My cat who is now 8 year old, grew up as a partly feral street cat in a non western country. Yearly vet visits for cats are not common practice there, and with him being the kind of cat that requires sedatives in order to get in a carrier, he ended up visiting a clinic even less than the average cat. In short he has barely any medical records from before arriving in Canada last year. I was actually a little surprised to see that I could even get insurance for a cat his age, but now I'm starting to suspect that they're just fine with taking my money but will never approve a claim. TLDR: Should I cancel an 8 year old cats insurence if he doesn't have any previous medical records?

I purchased Lemonade insurance for my mother’s dog last year because she thought he was having seizures. However he wasn’t. I put his age as the same as my dog. Because that is what I truly thought it was and he’s actually 8. Back story we “inherited” him and really didn’t know his age so truly was a guess. Anyways fast forward to this past week. He became very ill and has had to spend the last 3+days in the emergency vet cost approx 7k and now I’m have a full blown panic that because the ages don’t align they going to completely null and void my policy and not cover any of his medical bills

Hey guys, im soon to be getting a golden retriever puppy and i need some help with pet insurance. Ive narrowed it down to fetch insurance because theyre the most affordable without the worst reviews. I have seen some chatter about them denying claims but since im registering my pup at less than 8 weeks i figure that they cant deny due too some bs like "previous conditions". Am i naive for thinking that? I was quoted $120 a month for an annual payout of $15000, annual deductable of $300, and reimbursement rate of 90%. Let me know if you think that i should adjust these values as i picked the highest cost options across the board. Still $40 dollars cheaper than trupanion lol. I am also considering the wellness plans but im not too sure of the value. Could you guys weigh in on if i'll actually need all of these things done every year and if i'll save money with it? The annual "savings" are $735 for all that stuff listed but the annual cost of the plan is $563.52, so i'll really only be saving like $170 bucks for the most expensive plan if i understand correctly. There seems to be alot of bloat but ive never had a dog before so who knows. I live in Canada if that matters, thanks guys.

I adopted bonded pair of kittens and got them on pet insurance with trupanion at 8 weeks. They just turned two and trupanion has increased my premiums by 70 % in those two years. I understand they don’t raise the premiums based on pets age, but at this rate I won’t be able to afford to insure them until they get old. Looking at switching to lemonade - my one kitty has two minor claims and my boy has none. I realize her two claims will be pre-existing but they aren’t chronic issues. To the cat parents with lemonade- do you like it? Are you happy? I know I risk their premiums rising as well but at least I can afford more coverage with a smaller deductible to start. Hey My dog and I are moving to NYC this fall. She's a 3 year old spayed beagle. I did some research and lemonade was suppose to be the cheapest option but they are quoting me 107 dollars per month for a 80% deductible! What is happening? Any other options for pet insurance? I was hoping to be under 25 dollars per month for my pet so that I can put another 15 towards renters insurance. I am a student for the next year and a half so I wanted to be careful with money just for the next year and a half. Any help will be appreciated ! So I went to an insurance agent to enroll with kaiser through covered ca at the end of January because it wouldn't let me online and I was told I'd get my insurance card and stuff sent to me in a week or two well flash forward to today and I called kaiser to try and order an insurance card and they have no record of me at all. Called covered ca and same thing so I guess when I went to enroll through him it didn't work idk if he did something wrong or if it was a system error or something idk. This is my first time applying for insurance since I just got off my parents insurance and I'm not sure how to proceed. I'm not sure how to apply without covered ca and how much more it would be. Any suggestions I called the guy and left a message and haven't heard back yet.

I pay into a CalSavers account. I received an email five days ago saying: "per my request all correspondence will be sent to:" \[an email which is not mine\]. It looks like a scammer domain. I don't remember registering to access the account on the CalSavers website, though I may have during the enrollment process when I started the job. Either way, I can't access the account as it doesn't recognize the email I would have used. Is it possible someone has stolen the money by transferring it out of my account? I don't imagine scammers would waste time as soon as they have access... I can't call CalSavers until their office opens tomorrow.

Progressive offered me $750 for diminished value based on costs they incurred for the claim. They did not even consider the actual cash value of the vehicle. For context, this is in Texas and the claim was made on the other parties insurance and I was found at no fault. The car is a brand new BMW M2 and the total repairs estimated around $4-$5k including labor. There’s definitely more than $750 of diminished value since this is a performance car and now has an incident on the car fax. According to the representative, they are not willing to offer more even if I get an estimate of the actual cash value. Do I have any options outside of just accepting what I was given?

nybody here have mediCal? (Govt free medical insruance in the usa for ppl under age 65 and unemployed or flat out broke). My uncle generously cash paid for my mcas doctor. I have a script for cromolyn sulfate, can I use the script at the pharmacy and will medi-cal pay for the meds? Usually people with California state Medi-cal for those under 65 are unemployed or too sick to work but not yet documented and broke like me, so qualify for medi-cal, but those doctors are the worst and most incompetent. My uncle paid a mcas doctor to see me, abd I got a script for cromolyn sulfate. Usually medi-cal will pay for my meds even if i saw a cash pay doctor. Or is it a situation whereby I need to prove that I used lower level meds and they didbt work before I get approved from cromolyn sulfate? Remember I tried to get triamcinolone cream under private insruance (blue cross blue shield), but they said i had to trial lower level creams and then fail those 2x first. Making me waste life energy and jump thru hoops so insurance company can save 20$.

So I signed up for State Farm Auto/Renters insurance and all was well. I decided to switch agents because I was not happy with the communication speed I had with the old agent, so i submitted an Agent Change request online. It has been more than a month since the original request and only the Renters Policy moved. The requests show complete, but now I noticed my Auto Policy completely disappeared from my account. Did they mess this up and cancel my policy? I haven’t gotten any emails or documents online stating this. This has been so frustrating and I just want to not have a lapse in coverage for their mistake. Has anyone dealt with this or something similar?
