Have an issue with your insurance?
Let everyone know!
Insurance companies are constantly reviewing us. Are we too old? Do we live in the wrong place? Is our credit score high enough? Well, now it's time to turn the tables. Do you charge too much? Will you pay my claim quickly? Is your coverage worse than it seems? We can review you too.
ManyPets - So hard to get reimbursed
My first claim...never got reimbursed still...it's been 3 weeks. Been emailing them, I get a reply but nothing to solve my issue. This is very frustrating.
Pawp - Where do I start? Shame on PAWP!
Where do I start? Pawp has mishandled the sudden death of my cat with zero sensitivity PLUS has denied my claim, saying I didn’t submit paperwork in time. I hope this is a misunderstanding because I sent it in through their website within the required time frame. I tried to call support to challenge this and ask why they kept getting emails asking how my cat was doing AFTER he died & I could see on my account they still hadn’t triggered my emergency funds. I got voicemail & NO ONE returned any of my calls. This is standard, I was told. No human beings you can call when things go south unless you have a billing question. What???? UPDATE: Pawp did eventually apologize & did pay my claim, but I stand by every criticism is this review. It was an awful, stressful experience. Keep in mind if it’s a true emergency situation with your pet as it was with mine, do you really want to have to prove it in a mandatory video call with their “vet”?—not a vet, by the way, but a vet tech. Trust me, you do not. Plus, they changed their policy after I signed up. They stopped paying charges directly, which was a positive to me. A massive bait-and-switch to every customer who expected otherwise. THIS IS NOT PET INSURANCE. Make sure you understand this.
Pawp - Fatal, false reassurance
The last picture of my dog alive was sent to them. And they still thought the dog was relatively fine, despite a large stomach bloat.
Bivvy - having to mail my vet bill because I…
having to mail my vet bill because I don't have a scanner seems a little unfair. There should another way besides mail or scan for Bivvy to receive my vet bill.
Go Pet Plan - From Great to Rotten Overnight
Unfortunately I have to agree with other reviewers here. I thought PetPlan/Fetch was AMAZING for the first 3 years, I had never had a pup before and was so thrilled how comprehensive their coverage was when we found out when she was 2 that she had knee issues that needed surgery, PT etc. But SURPRISE! with no advance warning, no apology, and barely even any notice, they have SIGNIFICANTLY downgraded our plan. After multiple questions to understand and speaking to a "supervisor" who clearly has no power, it was explained to me that we had spent too much for how much we had paid in premiums(we have only had her 3 years!). Doesn't this defeat the point of health insurance where we all pool resources to helps the ones who need it? It doesn't matter that she is an otherwise young and healthy pup, or that the issues have significantly improved. We didn't even get close to spending our maximum. There was no warning that we shouldn't USE the pet insurance or it would be downgraded for the rest of her life! I'm so disappointed. BEWARE if you use this insurance that you can lose the coverage you originally signed up for, with no appeal process, no points for better health next year etc. I recommended Fetch to so many friends, but no more: I will be telling everyone who doesn't have insurance to look at Trupanion- you may pay more up front but at least they don't bait and switch you when you need them.

This company is full of hot heads who raised a bunch of daddies money. Hired incompetent people and their customers hate their company.
Bivvy - Experience was ok
Experience was ok. Not as easy as I expected. Never received any type of account number or exact effective date as to when i can actually use this insurance or even how to file a claim. I expected all of this info to be given to me ad soon as i signed up for this insurance for my pet.
ManyPets - Scammers
Your policy is design to take your money. For any little rule u people put on contract for no claim. And then we have to run around to get records from the past because u people r all parrinod . And just what reason not to pay a claim and then if by some chance u get a claim u still get ripped off from deductions thats Thats animal abuse in my book u people don't give a "'*-_- about our pets u just what to suck the money out of us poor people that love there dogs

ManyPets - Useless policy, false advertising
After much research, I chose ManyPets as the insurance provider for my two cats, happy to have found a policy that covers older cats. My older cat hadn't been to the vet in over a year as she hasn't had any issues. She doesn't travel well so I spared her the trauma of being in the car. When I recently noticed blood in her stool I was really worried that it would be a serious issue so I brought her to the vet. It turned out to be nothing thankfully so I submitted the small claim with confidence that it would be paid out. Boy was I wrong. Unlike the many reviews about a quick turnaround, I waited 11 days for a response. The email from ManyPets states that claims take 22 days currently. They denied the claim on the premise that it’s a preexisting condition because my vet stated she had the issue for about a month, therefore prior to the policy start. In reality, she had soft stool for a time that I guesstimated to a month, not blood in the stool which happened right before I brought her in. As any pet owner knows, cats can have soft stools over the years which resolve on their own and can be caused by many reasons, none of which constitutes a “condition.” Soft stool is not a diagnosis. ManyPets has added this “condition” to her chart therefore she can’t be covered for any kind of soft stool in the future unless she never has it again for the next 18 months. Again this is nearly impossible for a cat eating off-the-shelf cat food that can cause diarrhea due to poor quality control or formula changes. So basically any condition she may have in the future that ManyPets can construe as related to the soft stool won’t be covered. If you’re an honest person who provides your vet with details to help your pet, beware – anything you say can and will be used against you. And if your memory is poor, make sure you have a calendar on hand to prevent having your pet branded with a preexisting condition. I canceled my policy, which had just charged to my card today, only to find out that they won’t refund the charge because you have to wait a month. So I’ve paid for two months of coverage for a healthy cat with one minor event that will never be covered. Stay away from this company unless you have a young pet with zero health history, or are adept at insurance-speak. You’re better off saving for your pet via an interest-bearing account with no headaches. I gave one star for the courteous demeanor of the agent I spoke with today.
